Thanks all xxx

Good morning diary,

458 days and what a difference a year makes.

This time last year we did not even have a spare penny, my girls from Portsmouth were coming up to stay for a week around this time and I was feeling so stressed and disgusted with myself,

I was still paranoid about having enough money for simple things like loo rolls, and girls eat loo rolls lol.

My partner in crime (that dreaded laptop had been in my OHs locker at work since my day one) and my sons partner wanted to buy it, I could not pass it over quick enough and that 100 she gave me, wasmore than enough to treat the girls that week, we even went to Scarborough for the day.

That lap top cost me 30000 in debt alone, but that 100 was worth so much more, because I could actually treat my girls,

We are going to Skegness for another week in August, (well we are going to be moving there when we sell the house lol)

but the lovely thing is we can afford to take the girls for one whole week, as I said at the top what a difference a year makes and this is simply because I choose YES every single day to my recovery.

Have swopped my day off tomorrow for today, as colleague wanted tomorrow off, she was so grateful it did make me feel guilty, and unworthy in a strange way. as it was no big deal to me at all. I was happy to do it.

That addiction lies deep inside and dormant, but the scars keep surfacing, but that is what they are now just scars,

Wishing everyone a positive, strong and stress free gambling free day.

Suzanne xxx

Hi S,

Just a good morning alongside with woof woof 😉

We should stop it cause others will think we are animals or something lol.
Good to see you clocking up another day in recovery and since i only now start catching up with ALL the diaries (no kidding - insomnia kills lol) i am coming to realisation how much every single day matters! ..it does get easier huh...it does.
Last time i did my 96 i think days stint (making Juune run all over Lundin to keep that signal lol..bless her at that age :-/ ..(she is not 100 just for the record) i never fully stood bk on my feet...keep thinking the cause of it yup..lack of belief my friend, something i had in buckets before, but ya know what...i am getting there once again. ..life is not what i would like it to be, but it's life at the end of the day and I'm in it (do'h lol)...so maybe time to build something as a strong platform in my recovery...it starts with every single day i wake up..in my case - around 2pm today lol..

Keep winning and inspiring us all, good to have you by my side!

Ps. Check in today...woof!! 😉
