Good morning diary,

Had a lovely day yesterday, the sun was out, rang a friend up, (from my last place of work) and we met up and had a lovely pub lunch, just chit chatting, about our lives and families, that was a good move yesterday for me to get out the house, and away from my prime location lol.else I might have got irritable and down lol, Yes I won again yesterday in every way HDs

Have a viewing on the house today and tomorrow, keeping positive on the outcome,

One thing I am very positive about today, it's going to be a happy gambling free day

Wishing everyone a strong positive and happy gambling free day

Suzanne xx

Morning,

Thanks for the diary posts. Good luck with the viewings.

Other peoples decisions are out with your control, however decisions not to gamble are within your control and you are dealing with them.

Wishing you lots of luck and a fab day.

Best wishes x

Good afternoon diary,

I am actually having a buzz today, (hope that is a good feeling to,have lol) new experience for me on my recovery journey.

It's all because OH and I went to the WR shopping centre this morning (OH wanted another new Xbox game, ) and it makes me feel so good now to see him reaping the rewards too lol, the game was half price unbeknown to us, til we were at the till, nice feeling to pay less than we thought, lol, and then I bought some new (skinny jeans) nice ones at 25 quid, could not believe it they went through the till at 4.20p I saved over 20"quid,,plus 12 on OHs game totally unaware of these bargains, (think the jeans were wrong on the system but who am I to complain, :)))

We then went and treated ourselves to an all day brekkie, I don't know if it's healthy to have such a high buzz with saving money,

but I sure am not knocking it 0))) jeez that 32 quid would have been gone in a minute on online be slots and I would not have batted an eye lid, and if I had won 32.quid on the slots I still would not have batted an eyelid, because it was just pennies then, it sure. Isn't now, every single penny counts, it really does.

Also,a positive viewing on the house, they are coming back for a second look around on Wednesday, not going to get too giddy yet

about it,

Anyway am going to enjoy being on a high today (and I have not even had a drop of the strong stuff yet lol)

Wishing everyone a happy, positive and calm ,gambling free Sunday.

Suzanne xx

Thanks Perry, GT and Steve xx

Good morning diary.

525 days today.

Two posts this morning from other diarists have got me on high alert with my recovery, and I am grateful to them for their honest posts, one post somewhat surprised me and the other one had me somewhat baffled, but both posts make me realise even more as my journey continues, my resolve has to keep being strengthened by me,

I keep saying this but it is very much one day at a time, it doesn't matter whether we feel happy or sad this addiction will strike again if given the tiniest of chances to, It won't give up, and it will stay in the background waiting patiently for the slightest gap to get back in.

I had a really good happy feeling day yesterday, and I feel just as good and positive today, I would love to say dear diary, my recovery is sailing along nicely to plan, but thanks to those honest 2 posts, I know the reality of my recovery journey is to keep strengthening it, this is and always will be ongoing for me,

Both posts had 2 similar thoughts, curiosity, somewhere in them, (it can kill the cat)

So for today I am keeping my good happy feeling, because my choice for today is easy, abstaining and maintaining,

Wishing everyone a strong positive and happy gambling free day.

Suzanne xx

It's nice to spend money on things we want now and again, just like a 'normal' person. Perspective takes a while to come back, but when it does it's just unbelievable to think back to the havoc we wreaked.

Congratulations on your accumulation of 525 gamble-free days, still catching you up but determined to do so!
