Hi Suzanne

Sorry for being a miserable mare last week. Just one too many hurdles to jump.

Decided to line them all up and chuck in a grenade so to speak lol

Another week nearly over. It's been a busy but good one.

Found something new over the last couple of days. Not that I had much free time but it's interesting!

Also applied for a new job and started to look at houses seriously. I'm actually looking forward to a fresh start in all areas of my life.

I'm so pleased you are continuing to win the war against wasting money. Never was anything good ever going to come of betting. Unless you own the business!

Keep safe and not one penny wasted

Take care. Will drop by again soon x

Good morning diary

136 days of not losing any more money to a totally lost cause which is gambling

Gambling is a selfish self destructive addiction where when in the grip of it wipes out everything that is real and true in our lives. It can and will if we let it totally self destruct our lives

To even think of spending even one penny on any form if gambling today actually repulses me today

I am still very very ashamed of the money I have simply just wasted over 8 years. Even when pay days loans are cleared I will still be around 25000 in debt, which will take years to pay off as I only make small payments each month on these that I accumulated well before the PD loans started what utter madness, but that is the past now I am determined no matter what the future holds never to gamble again

This is a lifetime commitment I have made to myself and by abstaining and maintaining one day at a time I am doing the very best I can because to go back down that road is not an option at all

I make that choice every day to not gamble and I take a big positive out of this decision each day and that feels soooo sane and self satisfying

I will not be playing today because my guard is well up and tightly secured

Wishing everyone a happy positive peaceful and sane gambling free day

Suzanne xx

Hi Suzanne,

The fight is on girl. Day one or 1000 we still wake up with the same goal each day - not to waste a penny on something what hurts.

You are doing great and i wish so much more strength, belief and determination. .keep those up your sleeve, to be prepared while turning every corner in this journey.

Take care and keep doing what you doing because it is definitely working 🙂

Hi Suzanne,

Well done on continuing on the right path, all these small wins that we get every day add up to some very big results over the long term. Every day you may feel regret over what went before, but you also deserve to feel pride in what you've achieved over the last four and a half months, and take pride in each day going forward.

Dealing with debt is something I've done three or four times...I seem to have on several occasions managed to run up debts by gambling, only to quit and pay off all the debt, before piling it all back on again. It will take time, but the sense of achievement will be amazing. The important thing is to make sure you can't run up the same debt again, so if its credit cards or overdrafts, bring the limits down as you pay them off. I found the Money Saving Expert forum to be a great source of ideas and support when it comes to dealing with debt, there's a debt free wannabe board where everyone is working towards the same goal.

Great job, and keep winning and poking those gambling demons in the eye.

Ryan

Hiya chick

How goes it? Haha

Lovely to see the number racking up. Just as your numbers go up so do mine but for different reasons. Either way neither of us will allow gambling back into our lives. Great couple of days but I'm shattered

Had time to get back in the gym also went to a Zumba class with friends. That was an experience. I'm sure the class instructor had sucked a helium balloon before class lol. I laughed for 45 mins straight I left with a stitch !!!cant wait for next week lol

I hope you have found new things that being enjoyment to your life to fill the void that leaving behind misery created x

Hiya Suzanne

A massive well done on your continued successful recovery it's a massive achievement and am so pleased for you esp with all the effort you have put in

The debt and the past will always come back and bite you from time to time but keep looking at the big picture where you were and where you are now and that tells you everything

Good morning diary

138 days of not gambling and being free from the compulsion of gambling

Half day at work this afternoon and then 2 days off

No spare money to go out or do anything but when I think about it I stopped going out anyway because I preferred to spend every spare second throwing my money away on online slots, utterly utterly stupid

No thoughts to gamble today just thoughts of determination to keep abstaining and maintaining to a happier healthier and saner life

I will not be playing today because I want to WIN today

Wishing everyone a happy positive and sane gambling free day

Suzanne xx

Hi Suzanne

138 days is massive. You are doing so well. I know only too well not having any money to do anything but it is still so much better than gambling. The time, the money, the life wasted on gambling - that is all behind us now.

Enjoy your time off, you deserve it.
