Hi. I have joined gamcare today as I have tried quiting gambling for the last few years. Most I have not gambled is 32 days in 8 years. Ever since I got a smart phone. It was easy access and a bit of fun but just got worse and worse. The wife thinks I have not gambled for 2 years but that lasted 32 days and the most since then has been 10 days. I hide it well. But now I really want to stop but sometimes the urge is too much. I can pick up my phone and have a bet on and not even know it. I self exclude then join other websites. I love it when I win but I hate it as well. Sneaking around and lying and trying to win back money I lost. Never got gambling off my mind. Losing hundreds in seconds... I need to stop. I need to stop lying to my wife and family. And my wife and I have been trying for a baby since August 2013 with no luck. I said to god one day ( not something I really believe) I don't deserve a baby till I stop gambling. I am convinced that I am being held to that by someone up there. 1 and a half years and no luck With the baby making, we have been checked and everything is okay down there for both of us. This is why I am convinced someone listened to me up there. Crazy I know..

This is my 4th day and I'm feeling good. Enjoy the website. It has been a real struggle in the past but I hope I stop this time.

Keep going, I'm back to day 1, I've quit for almost a year a few years back and have fallen back into it. Don't blame yourself for the baby situation that will come good in the end, have a great gamble free weekend

Hi Butler, I thought i'd just drop by to say well done on 4 days 🙂 Im currently on 5 days, and feeling so much better already, Ive tried quitting many times over the past couple of years but i don't think my heart was really in it, Im not sure why but this time i feel so much different about it, its hard to explain, it's like i want to succeed this time, and thats what im determind to do, im not going to let some silly little ball that lands on stupid numbers rule my life any longer.

Wishing you all the best in your recovery.

Day 4' working today and it's Saturday. normally this is the day I end up putting a load of money on. So this might be a hard day. I know I won't put anything on because I've self excluded from everywhere. I will just need to stay in the kitchen cooking my valentines dinner all day lol.

Keeping busy really is the way to go. Not only your car will be clean and hoovered, it will be another gamble-free day for you to tick off.

Welcome to this place full of people like you. Let's all work together to keep making the right choices for ourselves.

Have a lovely gamble-free Sunday.

Hard weekend. Did keep looking at scores. I need to stop that because it just gets thoughts going through my head.. Deleting all sport score apps now. Someone did ask me who doesn't know my situation two teams they could put on and I said two random teams which won. So a dono if that means I'm back to day one or not.??

I would not class it as gambling, if you have not placed a single penny and was not involved in the outcome, but maybe not a good idea to give anyone tips/advice etc on gambling. it could give you a big nasty trigger. Ofcourse it's up to you, if you think it was gambling.

Hope this helps,

Take care
