Need help

Fella a harsh lesson indeed,my friend learn from it,recovery is a journey, there is no book or medicine to give, just a re education.

My advice the same again that was gifted to me on my very first days recovery

there is a triangle

Time-Money-Location

Take one away at all times and the punt simply impossible, gifting the brain that time to think, the rational side will get a chance to make a decision

Self exclude from that bookies, the 2k well that is gone, you will only add to the total loss if you chase it.

Some folk go back to day one, some don't that is only something you can decide.

The end result is the one that counts

To arrest the destruction self gifted by gambling.

Fella you did the right thing posting, you must want to recover, for that is progress in itself, many folk just go back at it and never return.

Never give up giving up

Abstain and maintain

Recovery is a gift,it's free you just have to want it more than that next punt.

I wish you well in making the right choice for you

Duncs stepping forward never back

in all honesy you didnt forget where the shop was but forgot to exclude ? i honestly think in the back of your mind you may of not excluded from this place to give yourself a chance to win some back , or one last gamble or a chance to gamble if ever you felt the need , i am not critisising as i have done this myself in the past , excluded from every online site except one that i thought i could win on , but i couldnt it was pointless either way .

Well please tell me you have selfexcluded from this place now if not no excuse get it done straight away, and rack your brains anywhere else where you may not of excluded from get excluded ! remember how you feel after this loss every time you want to gamble, as this will deter you from doing so as you need something to make you really want to stop , as if you really want to gamble exclusion or not you will find a way although exclusion is still a block that needs doing. Final thing i really think you need help with someone helping to look after your finances, all the best not having a go just being honest, thanks simon

Hi need

Sorry you slipped but hey learn from this and get stronger and more determined to carry on and abstain

Use every barrier to fight this it's not being weak it's being strong to fight this awful addiction because gambling is such a pointless waste of time and our lives and can only bring more misery

Hi need

Keep strong and determined today and win today by not gambling because honestly there is no point as you will not win because you will not stop

Use the triangle time money and location take one away and it will be impossible to play

Well done mate, I've always found work to be one of the best ways to avoid gambling, and as they often have plenty of overtime going, keeping myself too tired to gamble was a short term fix so many times.

However, it isn't going to solve it in the long run, you do need to find other stuff to take the time that would otherwise have been spent on gambling. The first week can be tough for some people, glad it didn't drag you back in as it does for so many people.

All the best

Ryan
