I for one ,think you should continue to post m8,especially on the new diaries.I believe that you have started many newbies on their way.I agree sometimes it is hard to find things to write about on our diaries, but mostly that means life is good.

There is no way you chase new diaries away, its the complete opposite kid keep going. All the best Jeff.

Hi wining post. Please continue what you do best and that's supporting and encouraging others. The post was written late in the evening by somebody who hasn't read your diary or seen the countless words of encouragement you have given. Onwards and upwards, enjoy your Sunday.

Hi wp,firstly i am really happy to read that you had a good time last night with your Mrs and the Kids, the fact that you have got yourself in to a position to be able to do that says much more about the progress you have made than anything words could explain.

regarding posting in future?,my opinion is that you should, even if you don't post often on your own diary you have given a lot of great advice to many new diaries over the last 8 months, all based on what REALLY needs to be done if people do want to give themselves a chance of beating this addiction, that advice is priceless.

Sometimes I think I must be Seano in disguise as I echo his thoughts many times--ditto again mate.

Had to laugh at Evanru's post which contained an unintentional spelling mistake--calling you winingpost instead of winning ha ha

Keep smiling mate and remember dltbgyd!!!

HI wp,

Hope you don't stop posting altogether. You have been a good support to me from when I first came on here and I have always been happy to read a post from you on my diary.

I know what you mean about it being hard to write on your own diary sometimes. But that does mean, usually, that things are going well - so that's good. I've not been posting so much on mine lately. But I do still read others and post when I have something to say. So shocked at that daft post insulting you!! - but you are strong, and great to see you can laugh things off!

You certainly didnt chase me away when I first came on here!! Take care -

Hi wp,

As i said previously, you were the first person who posted on my diary when i was at my lowest and am so grateful. I am sure many others on here could say the same. Its people like you who take the time to help others that keep this site going. Most are here for same purpose and we can and are getting through this. It is hard to find things of interest to keep posting about and i have said about this too, but what you do for others is so fantastic,it would be a such a shame if you stopped now.

Cheers

Phil.

Firstly, apologies for posting again on your diary, but I wanted to put the record straight. Just to let you know, had deleted my previous post on some sensible advice from a fellow poster. The reason I re posted it, was because you had obviously already read its content and had replied and therefore saw little point in trying to retract my comments. Not least fellow posters would wonder what was going on and i am trying to face up to the actions i take in life. Rather than sweep them under the carpet. I now realise that its content was completely inappropriate and I am very sorry for any offence caused. I therefore apologise to you unreservedly.

I have posted before and on the chatline several times, how much I appreciate the contribution to the forum that posters whom have tackled their cg and are further down the road to the likes of me, contribute. I have used the analogy that the forum is almost like a book. In that without the contribution that you and fellow posters write, the final chapters of the recovery book will be missing? I also realise that in many ways, the likes of yourself and other fellow posters in your position, could easily "walk away from the board" . Being further down the road of recovery? But you haven't and that says something as to your stature and what a genuine and caring person you are.

Hi Winner,

I hope you continue to post mate. I'm not the only one who really appreciates the unconditional support that you offer.

You are winning your battle and helping others to win theirs.

Top man.

1st of all many thanks to each and every one of you who've taken the time to support me today......the diaries are one helluva strong community....the way I see it we are all here for each other in that this illness when one feels down there are others to pick us up........rayg you don't have to apologise for posting on my diary....you are more than welcome like everyone else.....we all have bad days in recovery rayg, maybe yourself had a major slip yesterday and you needed to vent your frustrations at someone/something or maybe it was just one too many down your local...as for retracting your comments......that in my opinion makes you a bigger man mate for it left you wide open for all to read whereas like you say you could easily have deleted and many would be none the wiser apart from my comments...now like I posted earlier today let's all forget about it and get on with our recoveries....as for myself being further down the road in recovery....rayg whether you are 1day/month/year we are all only one step away from disaster...this illness will never leave us compulsive gamblers....we are all in this together so accept my hand and get that diary sorted oot....once you've started you'll find this is an amazing community and I'm 100 % sure you'll get support not just from myself but the many other wonderful people on the diaries.....rayg today I did not bet tomorrow I won't bet, welcome on board YOU CAN DO THIS. 🙂

Hi wp!!

Oh my goodness I have only just surfaced after last nights partying! I was on a train at 11 this morning but it took until 5pm for me to be able to open both eyes at the same time so you can imagine how it was on the train! I am getting to old for this but not going to stop!! Lol

I haven't read all the posts but get the feeling you were going to cut down on your posts? Please don't. That's all I can say my heads to wobbly!! But felt I must say something you are top number one guy!!

We are doing this together you helped me posting on my diary at the very beginning and all this way on, don't stop as I will miss you! Me being selfish we will all miss you! It doesn't matter if you haven't got anything to say we all just want to know your still around and ok. It is tricky on mobile though so you do have my sympathy!

Onwards and upwards we are heading for the stars!

Keep posting!!!!

Love linda x x x

Hello wp,

You have and are growing so much as a person, since you arrived here at Gamcare. Its a real pleasure to follow your progress.

Everything you have and are, putting into your recovery will in time reward you for your commitment.

Your journey is unique my friend and so are you.... Just keep being true to yourself and you wont go wrong 😉

I think one of the problems with communicating through an e-mail forum is that it is so easy to post things that you don't mean at the time , like i did. And also being unaware what the poster is like in real life. You can post things being detached from the consequences they cause, seeing as you have never met the poster in person? My point, I am sure if we ever sat opposite each other in real life, then we would get on really well.

Anyway, the main point of my post is to invite you to the "premier" of my diary next week. It will be a very select guest list. No riff-faff! What would be good though, is if you would be willing to post on it, that you will continue posting on this forum. That would be very much appreciated . Not just for my benefit but for fellow posters?

Hey Ray,

Why wait till next week?.... there's no time like the present!

It will be good to hear about yourself and I'm sure you will receive a warm welcome.

Hi wp,

Glad you had a great day with the kids. You seem to really enjoy the simple things in life. A man after my own heart!

Keep posting, for selfish reasons, I like reading your posts! lol But seriously, I think posting helps you too, and that is important.

Take care,
