But 3 weeks today for u!! 🙂
Talking about blocking is a great step in the right direction with OH, it may suggest he's not really wanting to give up yet but agreeing to blocks is at least admitting it's a problem. I used K9. You have to get someone else to install it and disable safari but it's great for mobiles and free!
1 week to a whole month girl, keep going! X
Day 22 - 4/6/16
I will look into that Red - at the beginning of my journey we did install some software but it seemed to block the programs we streamed and other sites we wanted to use. This is a new(ish) PC so havent used anything yet and I need he OH 'permission' too. I didnt realise you could put it on the phones too - its a good idea because I am sure he would use his phone if the PC was blocked
Day 23 - 5/6/16
Still GF - cant say I'm not tempted at all but urges getting less and less each gf day that goes by
Parental blockers from your Internet provider are probably the way forward. See Shorty's thread. I believe that it's possible to block specific sites from your mobile, might be worth gritting your teeth and getting some whizz kid in one of the phone shops to do it for you? (Am showing my age but it seems to me that the staff at these places get younger every time...it used to be policemen who got younger...) Or you could downgrade to a non Internet brick, my husband finds that safer, he says that the problem with these phones is that they're not phones, so he's as Jurassic as I am.

Day 26 - 8/6/16
Still gf just not logged in had real bad stomach bug (lol @ your last post and needed a laugh right now)
Nearly at the month stage, which is great again.
You definitely need to keep yourself focussed on your gamble free journey. I really do believe that if you can get yourself sorted out properly, then you can start to look at things through fresh eyes and start to decided on how to tackle other issues, including hopefully being able to really support your OH in giving up or at least severely cutting down on gambling.
Still wishing you a ton of good luck.
Day 27 - 9/6/16
Thanks Steve. 4 weeks tomorrow. Yes staying gf gives me chance to look at my other problems/issues. The problem is they normal intertwine issues-depression-gambling-depression etc. And it's hard to tackle everything together too. Just taking it one day at a time. Starting to feel free again (although I know I have niggles) hoping the OH does stop soon. He keeps goving empty promises but I know how hard it is. I just get annoyed as at least I do try
I read somewhere and it makes sense: gambling and depression are separate problems with separate solutions. Anti depressants won't stop the urge to gamble and meetings won't balance a chemical imbalance.
Stay safe,
CW
Day 28 - 10/6/16
Thanks CW. Feeling good knowin I have been gf for 4 weeks. Still trying to catch up financially on the destruction but emotionally feeling better to be out of the loop again.
Happy 1 month chic!! 🙂 mega proud of you xx
I had a slip so back to day 1 again. But if you can do it so can I! 🙂 In it together xx Have a lovely wkend
Day 30 - 12/6/16
Feeling good to be at 30 days again. Sorry red. Get back on it. One day at a time xxx
Day 33 - 15/6/16
Still going strong
Excellent, to see that you are back to over the one month stage.
Onwards and upwards.
Thanks for the support. Just added up debt £6659.56 currently and popped on to see what it was on last check in
Day 34 - 16/6/16
Bit shocked to find last financial 25/5/16 (Day 12) my debt was £5873.57 and is now £6659.56 after staying gamble free! An increase of £785.99 - the only explanation is using credit to cope with the fall out from the last gambling blow out and from bailing out the OH who owes me over £1500 now!
He has been saying consitently that he is going to stop gambling/hes had enough etc today is the day we find out as its payday (I want to believe in him but he says it every week) Fingers crossed
I have self excluded from all sites I was using (6 week break) so just need to do it again once they reopen
Affected by gambling?
