The gambling costs money that you haven't got!

K9 is fine for desktops and laptops.

Try parental blockers from your ISP and either downgrade your mobiles to bricks or take them into the phone shop and ask a whizz kid to block key sites. For passwords, find a tin or bottle of something that's nearly empty, use the batch number (not the bar code) and throw it out in someone else's bin.

What would be so terrible if you were to tell him that you're going to set up blockers and then you just did it?

Echo ODAAT.

Thanks I will have a look at K9. I am happy to have the blocks and he has asked me to sort them out so I know he wants to stop but he knows he can't do it on his own.

Agree, gambling will cost you a lot more, than putting blocking software on.

You're doing so well, keep doing what is best for you. I'm pretty sure one day, you will eventually have the strength, to sort out your other half as well. Let's just say we all have a point, where we realise enough is enough.

Looking forward to seeing you get to a half century, gamble free.

Hey chic

Get urself to the docs and then it's one less thing to stress about. You are coping so well and clearly a rock but don't want you to break and it could be made just a little easier with help. You're totally worth it xx

Echo Red...Dr's are not phased by people feeling low anymore, especially when there's a baby in the household! I'm not suggesting you come out with a basket of happy pills, there are other options that they will be able to direct you towards like well clinics & contact groups!

Just because you are feeling positive about not gambling doesn't mean you are happy clappy about the stresses & strains going on around you & since you haven't had any outside help yet, exploring your options isn't a bad call for when the urges kick back in because they will (sadly)! Addiction isn't something we can turn off Wants2, that's why you went back to it! What about speaking to GamCare if you're not feeling your GP @ the moment?

You are looking after 3 people, if you don't make you the priority, this is going to just get harder! It's very hard to support others from a bad place & if you've been there before, you know how soul destroying it can be! Catch it whilst it's mild & coming out the other side has to be an easier journey than if it takes hold again!

Look after you - ODAAT

& they will probably keep coming in waves until you get support! Whatever you do, don't give in to them, you know yourself you will feel way more upset that you already are if you do!

I dont really understand what Gamcare can do for me - as in what services they offer - all i have done is used the diary as a cathartic way to deal with emotions and have some fab support too along the way

Its a good idea. I will look into it. Still might go to Doctors anyway - I just dont want them to label me with post natal depression - and/or get health visitors etc involved. Also worried it may be silly to go as i dont particulary want to go back on anti depressants and I dont want to waste their time either
