Thank you so much, Stephen, for your thoughtful and wonderful poem.  It has inspired me as I chalk off 25 days without a gamble and I am well set for Day 26.  I d**n well refuse to engage with the gambling beast.

Day 26.  re-reading Stephen's excellent poem sent a couple of posts back, is all the motivation I need not to gamble today.

Day 27.  I will not gamble, just for today. I will update this diary every single day until  I either hit Day 10000 or my passing (possibly the latter, bit I like to show commitment).

A nice way to start Day 28.  Just for today, I will not gamble.

Day 29.  Had an unexpected expense today (£330!) 

Two ways to look at it. At least I've not gambled lately, so I had the money.  And I definitely don't want to gamble today as I need to make that money up!  I want to recover my hard earned savings.

And so for this reason I won't gamble today.

just passing through, hope your feeling okay....sorry to hear about the unexpected expense ....at least you had it to spend it lol...

I woke with a horrific headache this morning but feeling a bit better now ....overdosed on water....I NEVER drink enough. 

I havnt wrote the next chapter in my diary yet but I'll do so tonight at some point. 

3 days till rehab and counting....

My thoughts.......erm....scared, positive, anxious, but mostly hopefull!!

We will see.....

Sorry to read of your unexpected expense RochG but pleased that you handled it in a sensible manner. 

I do believe you are almost 30 days into your recovery and tomorrow morning will see me salute your excellent progress.

Thank you so much for dropping by my diary on my 30th day gambling free!  And it truly is 30 days .. I promised that this is the one place I will not lie about it.  So 30 days it truly is!

Ria, I am sooooo pleased you're gonna get the help you need.  And don't worry about drinking water, it's always good to be hydrated. They say we are about 70% water, but looks like you were more like 100% !!!  I hope your headache has subsided as you look forward to better things ahead.  

Stephen, Lou, in the 30 days I've restarted my journey you've both been amazing, there for me from the start.  And I know you've helped and encouraged so many others too.  You are both stars to me and I am here for you too.  Thank you for your amazing support.
