Ok,

So I joined the Gamcare site yesterday 27/12/2014, I made an intital post in the new members section and I received some incredible responses.

I have followed their advice and read through some success stories and I have also read through "Sabines diary", that lady has been an-inspiration to so many people and I am sure she will continue to be. I familiarise with so many people who have posted on this website. I feel that now I should start my own diary if only to make me check in everyday and remeber what gambling has done to my life.

I started gambling in 2012. In fact when I think about it my partner and I got together in December 2010. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary in December 2011 and we went to the casino. I had never been to a casino before. We took £40 and I made my partner walk away with £300. So that was it my introduction to gambling and winning.

I didn't gamble after that for a while and at the minute I can't recall precisely when I started to sign up to online sites. I am sure that will come back to me at some point. It has been the world of online casino that has destroyed my life. It has made me do things I would never have dreamed of. You name an online site and I have no doubt signed up to it at some point. I have won money and then lost money. I can gamble for hours.

Hi Natalie.

Hope youre well- I also joined this site yesterday and I stopped gambling on Boxing Day having spent a few hundred Christmas Day night and deciding enough us enough I can't afford to have another year like this one - in debt for the next five years paying off what I've spent online slots just this year. Have you managed to stay off the online casinos today ?

Hope you're staying strong.

Clare

Good luck Natalie, you can do it. I'm on day 1 gamble free! Hope you're having a happy, gamble free day. Try not to focus on the money youve lost, if you you need to focus on something let it be the time you've lost instead, you can't get it back but you can make up for it now! Whenever you're having a gambling 'itch' do something good for someone, it could be coming on here to offer someone support or ringing a friend/relative to see how they are, or making cookies for your kids. You'll start to feel better about yourself as a person and hopefully the rest will come naturally x

Hi all haven't been able to log on as my laptop has broken but my partner has just come back with the iPad so I'm able to give an update.

I have been gamble free since 25/12/2014 so 5 days and counting. Good to read your messages and know there are people in the same situation as me. I'm going to log back on tomorrow and give a full update.

Night all x
