Hey Toad. Although I have just re-joined, I have been reading diaries on and off for the past few months. You have put a smile on my face and even made me laugh out loud several times over the past week - thank you. If you do have a gambling problem (and I'm still not sure that you do to be perfectly honest) I wish you the very best of luck. Sometimes it's good to give an edge of humour instead of the dour higher power stuff. Whatever get's you through Toad, so long as it doesn't get in the way of others' recovery. Thankyou very, very much. At last I have a positive post. That was an uplifting post. Thankyou again.

I genuinely do have a gambling problem. I am lucky enough to be debt free and own a property outright. I do not have any savings though.

I know my diary has not been great. I have went from one disaster to another.

But I need to change my tactics. They are working to an extent but i can always improve.

Thankyou again for your upbeat message. It says alot about you. I wish you all the very best in your recovery.

Day 1,

Morning Everyone,

Just had a light breakfast with the wife. 2 eggs lightly fryed and a Banana with tea.

Getting the clothes washed for another week ahead. I'm working 6 days this week with running and the gym 5 nights. I need to keep busy.

Today is a gamble free day. The turfs are closed on a Sunday. No online accounts so I am safe today.

I hope this week I stay away from temptation.

It is difficult for me these days. I am still off alcohol aswell. Hoping to go alcohol free for 2 months then I'm off to spain with a few mates for 3 days. Then i'm on the draught beer.Toads head will be spinning. Hopping around on one leg, bar to bar. Living it large.

That is one thing I have mastered. I know how to enjoy myself. People ask what's life all about? It's for having fun. Surely that's the best reason. Living the life !

Another reason to avoid gambling because it's only fun when you win. ( which is rare )

Okay I'm going to hop off here I have things to do. No resting on my lily pad today on frog avenue.....

Feeling a bit tired today. I just need to get through Monday. I always find when Mondays over the rest of the week usually isn't too bad.
