new beginning

Morning All,

Day 10,

Had a nice breakfast there of sausages and toast washed down with tea. Good start to the day 🙂

On the bus and just realised i forgot a photograph to self exclude from the last bookies near work. That was bad. I must complete this tomorrow. I can't leave this turf open as it's the closest to my work so the most convenient.

I made the wife breakfast too. I need to put the wife first now. She has stuck by me for years and supported me, i need to look after her 🙂

My first GA meeting this week. Wish me luck.

Thankyou for your posts. I went off the rails a bit the last couple of days. I took a half day yesterday and got really drunk.

Yes i self excluded from one yesterday. One to go.

I will post soon and when my mental state is a bit better.

Try not to feel too negative, jeez you are trying, you don't give up on giving up, and that will be very positive for you.

You can do this I know you can, and I think you are very nearly there now, well done on pushing through, after slipping, and getting straight back up, I do believe this is now the tail end of you slipping, as Winston Churchhill said this is the end of the beginning:)) keep determined, focused, and be kind to you now.

Day 2

I went to a GA meeting yesterday. I spoke in front of everyone about my story. It was tough going but i know i must try new avenues in my recovery.

One of the men recognised me from the bookies and we had a brief chat.

Going to Spain today for 3 days with a few friends. Away from bookies and work.

I might post when i am away.

It's hard not to forget the terrible waste of my pay and overtime 26th Feb 16.

But GA says to forget past losses.
I will.

From now forward i will change.
I will return positive and happy within myself. Happy to quit gambling and to build a better life.

I like to be optimistic. Life can be so good if we make the right choices. I chose now to live life and send those positive vibes on this forum.

Smile- tomorrow is a new day full of hope.....let's live a little.
