Hi Alan just thought I'd pop by and say again what a great person you are to have on this forum.

Morning Uncle George, thanks for checking up on me 🙂

We were away on holiday and the wifi advertised on the website turned out to be "intermittent" (as in non-existent) and I had no service on my phone for the entire week so I couldn't log on to anything. You don't realise just how much you use the tinterent until it's gone, but we got through it...although my daughter's vowing never to leave home again! I've got lots of catching up on here to do now...reading diaries, seeing how everyone is.Is it weird that I've missed this place? Better put a load of washing on first though...priorities and all that. Catch you soon, and thanks again for looking out for me. It means a lot x

Hello Diary , Day 271 of being in the sraight and narrow as they say ( not sure who they are but they did say it ) !.

Great weekend with my partner , on a bit of a promise ( nothing in writing though ) which helps , especially at my time of life.

Suffering like mad with painfull arthritic hips at the mo , I'm due cortozone injections pretty soon and contacted my GP early May for a referral in the hope of having them before my daughter's wedding in August but apparently there's a 8 to 10 week wait just to see him , let alone have the jabs , so I can't see that happening before we go , so maybe look at getting some stronger pain killers ?.

Took some last night , along with a few beers which seemed to do the trick but had some pretty wierd dreams , the main one consisting of a member on this forum who I'd never met , turning up out of the blue and giving me a big Gamcare hug , I then seemed to take her on a guided tour of local Fish markets ( don't ask ) ? , her appearance kept changing throughout the dream , prob because I don't know what she looks like , anyway it ended with the sound of water swirling around in a big live Lobster tank , at which point I woke up at 6.30 because the youngest addition to our family was stood up "Gurgling" in his cot , I did what any good foster father would do at that time of the morning and gave my partner a nudge :)) as I'm all for equality , just after that the boys were running around the house like stormtroopers , so snoozy time was over . ( if anyone reads this and can tell me what dreams mean , then answers on a postcard please to , I haven't got a clue c/o Gamcare ) ?.

There all doing great by the way and really settling in , they have supervised visits to there parents a couple of times a week and we'll find out from the authorities this week for definate how long there likely to be with us .

Nice walk this morning with the hounds and a kickabout with the kids and a football .

I love the fact that Life's just getting kinda" Normal again " these days , no lies , no deciet and no continually worrying about finances , it's just like a huge weight lifted from some old tired shoulders , abstaining from gambling gifts me normality everyday that I get up and choose to say no to it and today once again I say " NO "

When I log on here ( which is most days ) and look at the newbie post's I always think back to how bad things were for me 9 months ago and I'm gutted to see how they feel at the start of there journey because I felt exactly the same , if any of you read this then let me just say " Allow yourself time to recover and become the person you deserve to be " .

Love and best wishes to all xx

Megasaurus (roars, quite literally roared like a dinosaur, with laughter, fawt I'd P****d myself laughing but turns out that was just incontinence)...Such a shame you're not doing the best man speech!

Now, about this GamCare beauty? Did she have a stubborn hair or seven waving from a large wart on one of her chins? Fairly confident it wasn't me what with the talk of a hug & all but wouldn't wanna rule myself out if she was hot 😉

Alan, with the greatest possible respect in the best "Yes Minister" tradition, thanks but no thanks.

Keep up all the good work.

Hi alan great read i think your dream probably and most very likely means that you had one to many beers with the pain killers and may be you should tweak the dosage a little .cheers

Hi Al,

Since i know it wasn't me, no guns being taken out ;-))))))

Great to see your fostering skills. Requires a lot of strength and dedication! I read loads of books about it (i guess my own therapy prior finding this forum) but the ones by Cathy Glass are really heart gripping and she is true Angel taking care of so many lovely kids.

Keep being you and take care! You should be very very proud of yourself, your partner and your kids.

One day at a time!

Sandra - who is quite calm and not lashing out...just so you're not scared ☺

Ok Sandra , I think I get the message loud and clear and you really didn't have to draw up a list of reasons and also what you'd do to me if it was , I promise it wasn't you so you can sleep well now honey and I'm glad that was calm and in no way lashing out :)) LOL ! Thank's for the drop by though and take care of yourself xx , Phew !! , Kelly , did you put her up to that , sounds like your doing ? and it definately wasn't Deano Martin ( sounded like dean martin then ) coz this bird didn't have a west midlands accent or hands like a hod carrier , there all after answers now Martin ( I couldn't have had more interest if I'd put up a sign saying" Free chocolate " ) ? ,Oop's Odaat's just heard that !!. What hair stye you got K ? 🙂 Ginger perm or Ginger bob ?
