I'm 248 days gamble free. Since I first gambled, the longest I have gone without gambling was 256 days, but I threw that away...

I'm generally doing ok, but I still have the urges and thoughts to gamble. The weirdest part are the dreams. Does anyone else dream that they've gambled? I'll have a dream that I've gambled and feel lousy in my dream. Sometimes when I wake up I'll not be sure if the dream was real or not!

I do feel a little pride in almost being at the point where I will beat my previous record. Once I get there, fingers crossed I can make it to a year.

So I've now broken my own personal record. The longest time I had gone without gambling was 256 days before I relapsed. I've now gone 261 days.

For me the key is to keep busy and occupied, but to also allow myself the time and freedom to do things I enjoy, like read, watch TV and play computer games.

There are still times I think about gambling but I've not given in. I'm taking pride in that daily counter increasing with each day, each week and each month.

276 days and still going strong. It would just be nice if gambling wasn't advertised everywhere and if the general public were not so obsessed with it.

Thank you and sorry for delayed reply.

I really have the urge to gamble. It's been very strong recently but I think I can resist it. Since I started gambling years ago, this is by far the longest I've gone without gambling. Just need to get through this spell.

461 days gone but I've been finding it tough over the last couple of weeks. I think it's the snooker world championship and the football season coming to a close. Gambling seems to be everywhere and penetrate all levels of society. Just got to keep on being vigilant I suppose.

584 days free from gambling. Had some urges in the last few days but not acted on them, despite having access to online sites (the self - exclusion periods have lapsed). Only reason I know they lapsed is because I got so far as requested a new password before stopping myself a few months ago when I had another close shave.

I'm proud of going this long without gambling, but it's just proof that you have to be vigilant all the time because the moment you let your mental guard down, the little voice becomes louder telling you to gamble.

The next big target is 600 days which is just a couple of weeks away. Stay strong everyone.
