Starring the amazing Meg Ryan but that's another story for another site lol

So, sleep !

In action I would work 15 hours per day, gamble 6 hours every day, eat while gambling and sleep for 3 hours. Day in, day out, 7 days per week.

When I started both sets of my counselling, at the end of each session there was a welfare questionnaire and one of the questions is along the lines of, In the last week have you had trouble going to sleep and staying asleep. Obviously it said to me that it's an important part of recovery

When I first went into recovery and I was extremely depressed over the explosion I just let off like a hand grenade on my life, I slept all the time. Just couldn't stay awake. No energy, didn't eat, huge amounts of self pity. I put it down to years of sleep depravation. Then I had a month of sleeping normally, waking normally and staying asleep. Since then I've been all over the place. Laying in bet for an hour before falling asleep. Walking up right the night. Falling asleep in the afternoon and leading an unhealthy sleep lifestyle

How has your sleep pattern looked like in recovery ?

I still have problem with sleeping however when i gambled the sleeping partner was awful i would always feel restless my gambling fortunately took place in bookies arcades and casino bookies were closed however i did end up in Casino couple of times had it been online it would have been a million times worse as the casino was a couple of miles and even walking 10 miles home from another casino late at night in way actually helped i didnt have the fitness nor the energy to continue on this path so even though i had urgues i was saved by the situation

In general sleep much better. At least I will not wake up in the night weeping for the money loss or worrying about how deep a hole I will dig for myself anymore.
