After 12 months free I fell off again.
On the last day on a wretched fobt something happened. I was in the familiar position of running out of funds so I decided to risk a game that swallows money with an infrequent feature which gives a big return. Much to my shock the feature landed quickly. I was elated. I'll be back on top again.
It has 5 spins with each one paying a lot.
Spin one...nothing
Spin two...nothing
Spin three...nothing
i felt sick. I could see where this was going.
Spin 4, Spin 5 .....nothing
I cashed out and left. So angry. It was only later I realised it had actually done me a favour. The following days I didn't have that urge that follows a binge. It's like something clicked in my mind. There are no guarantees with these machines. No techniques. If you're fortunate to sit in front of one that's ready to pay its rare.. Statistically repeat good fortune doesn't happen. You will always end up losing. I know this but as we all know here common sense doesn't come into it. I'm back on the road to recovery again. Its what we have to do.. I do think though that experience taught me a valuable lesson.Â
I too had issue with fobt i use to be shocked when the feature landed and it paid £0 and that when i couldnt accept this and continued on those machines are designed in a way to too this non addict will risk small sums and if that happened they know it just a machine and laugh it off however has i was an addict i would continue on resulting in hundreds pounds expecting the machine to pay and when it didnt i would purposely lose everything to teach myself a lesson only to come down on future date and repeat the process again those machines u can end up putting 4x the jackpot and their no gaurantee it will even give you one jackpot this is how they generate their profits i use to be so annoyed at stuff like this i didnt understand the rtp they are allowed to operate like this as an addict those machines are extremely dangerous since spending my time in recovery i cant believe i couldnt see this it criminal yet they allowed to operate like this
Hi MrMac
At least you are back on the recovery road after the blip. Not starting from the beginning again just moving onÂ
@tazman yeah I know but when we're in the thick of it we're blind to common sense. Unfortunately that's the nature of this addiction. We play tricks on ourselves. Excuses. Delusion. Those machines are evil.
