Today i had and idea that I think may do you some good.

In cbt you plan. It is a goal based therapy. The reason that you plan is that it will get you to where you need to go compared to just drifting around refusing to plan anything at all.

How do you plan?  Well you take pen to paper and you start to think through what you want to achieve. It starts there.

So here is the challenge.

Make 10 goals for yourself this week which are about you. Goals you want to achieve. Things you want to do.

Write down each and everyone of them very carefully. Take a few minutes to figure out what and how you need to reach them and then add this line.

I will do my absolute best to address this plan every day  until I reach my goal. I will tweak this plan, maybe change it slightly at times, but will absolutely keep it going until all 10 goals have been met to the best of my ability.

Signed

( My name)

This is your contract with yourself. When you feel lost or down. Take this paper (contract) out and look at it. Focus on the goals you have and make sure you reach everyone of them.

Come back to this thread and write. I reached my goals ( on the date ) Signed (your alias)

That is my challenge to you. Have a good weekend!

Best

C

Scheduling is the art of organizing your activities so that you may achieve your goals and prioritize your priorities in the time you have. When done correctly, it aids you in determining what you can realistically do with your time.

I heard a good quote on gambling the other day.

"When playing with thieves expect to get robbed".

Kind of make sense...
