thank you bella xxx, i love the name bella its soo nice, so here i am after half a year almost 2 days left and ill be on the half year mark. Been reading lots of diaries lately andnewbies posts and there is such pain caused by gambling, theres such misery for soo many, and it really diesapoints me that its allowed by thi government. I mean why. Im hoping that i can continue to do really well and continue to support on here, as i have been supported soo well on here over the years.

Right so in one hour and forty five minutes ill be on the 186 day mark, HALF A YEAR, half a year away from a bet, half a year away from lies and secrets, half a year away from poor decisions, half a year away from alcohol too is that a coincidence i think not. It's worked because im not drinking and giving into urges. I still have fleeting thoughts but with next to no money on me nowadays if i did it would be minimal impact, i have however small not bet a single penny. Also Tottenham won the first leg of last 16 in the champions league tonight 3-0 COME ON THE SPURS, everything is falling into place. Should if everytihng goes to plan be able to move into my flat in three years, it's not a decision i take lightly as with my illness it comes with its challenges. I will be in a good position then. I would miss my parents but i have to get used to that eventually. But if i want to move away i can in three years. It's complicated, but my life is and has been complicated. Had a talk with my manager today and along with some more training he said that i need to talk less, joke less to the department i used to work in even tho i have to visit them in order to do my job. They have been talking behind my back and gossiping as usual, i will however try to stay above this pettyness and just ignore the gossip. Overall its been a good half year progress. Onwards onto my next goal which is 200 days...... here we go....thanks for all the support. adam

Hi Adam,

That’s a pretty good goal to head towards. I think having a goal drives us forward and 3 years will pass by before you know it.

Congratulations on your half year anniversary and managing to stay GF.

CJ.

Dear Adam,

huge and heartfelt congrats on your six months gamble free, a tremendous achievement, knowing that you've not always had an easy time with this.

Keep going and keep making the right decisions, you are doing amazing.

All the very best,

Congratulations Adam on half a year gamble free.

You have a great attitude to your recovery, work and life in general.

Friends like yourself are a great inspiration to others on the diaries, myself included...Stephen

Well I'm here another couple of days later, I'm back in the gym, went Sunday and today and feel a lot better for it. It doesn't take much effort to get out and go to the gym and even tho I was tired after walking all day at work

Hi san sorry I didn't have time for much of a response. I'm no expert on gym training and haven't got a gym plan, I try to do half an hour exercise each time and vary what I do each time, mainly rowing and weights frequently.i should really get some advice as I'm struggling to lose any weight but I think if I look back to three years ago smoking and drinking lots I'm defo a lot more healthy now as I'm tee total. I look forward to meals and if u cant look forward to things theres no point. So I think i should work on my diet next but honestly I have home cooked meals everyday with veg so I don't eat too badly just a bit too much to lose weight. However I'm happy in myself but would like to slim down a bit. I'm currently 13 stone and would like to be 12.6 which would mean I'm not overweight. But Rome wasn't built in a day.

Went into town this morning and had a fleating thought of going into a bookies!!!! and also when i got back on my own thought if i could play poker for money and the blocks werent in place then i defo would!!!!. Not good but i made it past the bookie and i know if i tried to sign up online it wouldnt let me along with being slef excluded from casinos!!!. I gues the blocks are worth it and are paying dividends this weekend. U do forget about the bad times and when youve got money in the bank account you think why not. Ive not been to the club with the fruit machines for a couple of months now and today was a day to definitely stay well away.
