Hi
I really don't know what to do. When I met my partner over a year ago at the time I did not know he was a compulsive gambler and when we set up home together I put 1800 in his account to be transferred to an ISA. A month later I found out that that he was a compulsive gambler and there was no money left. He had been attending GA too for the past 3 years. Back in March I suspected that he was gambling again and asked if he could have his wages transferred into my account so I could control finances and he set up a dmp for his debt. 2 months later 900 disappeared out of my bank account and to my horror found out he had set up online betting accounts in my name and had got hold of my card. I stopped the card, closed all the accounts down to put a stop to it. I attended ga with him and he was like a lamb to the slaughter. They all had a go at him for lying about the last bet date. I have struggled to get finances back on track and had sort of done it, but have had to borrow money to pay his dmp. I told him that I had done this and to my horror he had managed to get hold of my card again and set up a new online bet account in my name and has gambled all the money. I feel like I have had a kick in my teeth and feel physically sick. Where do I go from here, any advise will be helpful

Thank you Laura.. I haven't told my family and friends as I don't think they will understand. I have spoken to my partners mum about it as she has been through this before with him when he first started gambling and has given me a lot of help and support. I am just worried all the time he is going to do it again. I even ordered a new bank card which arrived today and scratched off the security code at the back so he can't go on -line with it. This was recommended when I went to GA with him. The problem is it now says void so I don't think I can use my card now . I just wish he would go back to GA for help and support as he is now saying he doesn't want to go back after last time
