As much as I talk the talk as67 I am far from perfect doing this "friend/family" of a CG!! All you fine people who write help and support me as much as I you!! I am in Canada and it is so cool that we can be all supporting each other when we live in different corners of the world!

I think the key is that when we get on with things like picking out paint etc we are distracted from our gambler and their lives and actions. It gives our poor little hearts and brain some relief from the chaos and hurt. As a mom I feel somewhat guilty still..."how can I be going on like nothing is happening". In truth this is the most helpful thing for all involved... you, your son, and your marriage. I am sure you will "see" your son again... you just can't put your life on hold for this day.

Thanks all for who write on this thread... the support is wonderful! 🙂

'Just a Mum' would do me fine!

Don't beat yourself up anymore, addiction is something us addicts don't get so how on earth can you expect to get your head round it!

None of you guys should ever feel guilty...That's all on us!

I'm doing great, thanks for asking! I'm fighting this evil - ODAAT

Amom you are so right how lucky we are to have the internet, now that Ive found you all and feel the care and support Im more grateful than ever. I am pleased you said "distracted from things" its exactly how I describe it, I am doing okay definetly better than a couple of weeks ago but I do spend most of my time trying to occupy myself just to have a break from thinking too much, the same as everyone else. You are a strong lady and are a huge inspiration and support so when you have moments when you're not feeling so strong please remember you're making a difference to people like me. I think feeling guilty goes along with being a Mum, my sister feels guilty for not seeing her kids as much as they would like but shes working hard to give them a good life, so im sure theres many more woman feel guilty for some reason. ODAAT as ever thank you for your support 🙂
