What a fantastic day
Apart from this ridiculous heat which is just crazy down South, but I accept that's beyond my control, I've done five trips into town taking my partner to work and shopping with my daughter. I would have tried to get out of it 8 months ago but felt grateful to be able to help today.
Spent the morning shopping with my daughter and talking which was amazing. Actually spent the whole day smiling.
This afternoon my son came home early from school and as he is autistic we played together. Had a zoom about starting training which is the first step to working in this space which I realise is my dream job now.l, so that was great.
Did a bit of planning for a talk I've been asked to do next week which is going to be nerve racking but something I'm honoured to be asked to do.
Went to the chatroom tonight which was great as always
When I finished the 90 meetings in 90 days yesterday I didn't know if I would carry on with the online ones and drop down to my 3 in person each week, but I went online so am 91 for 91 now.
Loving this new life and no need, want or space to gamble in my new ways of thinking. Working every day on the road to serenity now I know what a life without the dragon breathing is like.

A great day
Spent the morning and early afternoon with parents l. Looked after my Dad while my mum and daughter went out.
Evening included a really good chatroom and GA online

Day 221 gamble free
Woke up early this morning and drove down to do the Good Mind Circles walk. The trail went through the middle of a zoo (caged walk obviously) so we saw plenty of wildlife animals for free.
I don't like the road on the way back as in 1988 I had a head on crash on the wrong side of the duel carriage way. Ended up DOA at the hospital and couldn't walk without aids for about one year. Coming back today, two cars had a huge crash 50 years in front of me. I just missed the spinning cars and thought it was going to do me for good this time. Got home very shaken as I was too far up the road after to stop and I could see the traffic had stopped to help. Rang police and told them what happened. Very shocking
Spent the afternoon recovering and went to chatroom tonight which was really good followed by GA online
Day 222 gamble free
Woke up and did my early morning routine to get the day started the right way. Did the school run and took my partner to work.
Rather than the old ways of spending the day gambling, instead I did some more unpacking and a food shop. Lots of great chats with my daughter and it's been great to spend time with her while she has broken up from Uni.
Went down to GA tonight which was a great meeting with powerful shares and got back late after charging the car.
Lots of gratitude today for everything I do still have

Wow what a day full of emotions
I had the honour today of talking at a gambling support conference to a large crowd. I've never been so nervous in my life and my legs were like Jelly. It was an opportunity I couldn't pass up because I wanted to say thank you and do my small part to represent this beloved lived experience community. I managed to get through it and I hope it was well received. I did get very emotional half way through and had to take a breath taking through my war story. I feel proud that I did it and actually enjoyed doing it. Such an amazing experience.
Traffic was awful on the way up and back. Had to dash back to meet my sponsor to start step 8 which means its not long before I am let lose as a sponsor. Followed that by my home GA meeting and am home now. Absolutely knackered and tomorrows diary entry will hopefully include a great deal of sleep

Wow what a packed day
4am airport run for my mother in law to go to a family wedding in Ireland. Then my other half has decided to go as well so got to do another one in a few hours time
Got home and grabbed an hour of sleep. School run and dashed back for a Gamlearn meeting, followed immediately by counselling, then rang sponsor for a good chat. Caught up on some calls and grabbed a other hour of catch up sleep. Evive zoom at 6 which was amazing and then down to GA which is 97 meetings in 97 days as I've carried on. Thank goodness I have nothing planned for tomorrow daytime and just chatroom and GA online Friday night. Sleep is for wimps and im a wimp
Oops belated entry Day 226 gamble free
4am airport run as my Mrs decided to go to the wedding after all in Ireland. Back to get my son ready for school as my daughter was standing watch. Caught up with some sleep and stuff around the house. Read the new stuff on here and Evive app plus posted my daily topic which I love doing. Nit more sleep.
Evening was a really good chatroom on here so I am getting close to 300 chatrooms now as per my diary and then went to LA GA international online which was great and now 98 daily GA meetings in a row. Watched a bit of Argentina match and headed for bed

Managed to catch up on a few extra zzz today with a bit of much needed sleep. More boxes unpacked and nearly got the house sorted. Did some step 8 work and rang my sponsor. Picked up Mrs from airport and was disappointed to see the chatroom wasn't running tonight as I was looking forward to that but must be a reason. Went to GA online which is 99 days in a row now. Chilling watching the French game
Day 228 gamble free
Really good day today. Woke up and did the daily routine, meditate, pray and write my gratitude list. Drove down with my daughter to see my parents and let my mum go out shopping with my daughter while I watched my dad. He slept most of it but had a good chat. Poor man has been bed ridden for over a year now.
Drove back and spent some time with my family and did some step work. On step 8 now which involves writing a lot of letters to myself. Went to the chatroom on here at 8 which was really good and always lovely to catch up with friends. Then went to GA online at 9 which was my 100th day of GA meetings in a row and 300 since November in total. They've all been good and really helped me in recovery.
Trying to decide now whether to stay up for the match or watch it in the morning.
Such a simple day but so rewarding. I can't imagine what the chaos of this Sunday looked like last year and the previous 44 ones.
I think I might write a reflection post tomorrow in my diary so I can hopefully read it in a few years time still gamble free. I want to note to myself what I've learned so far.
Day 229 gamble free
Been thinking about some more topics over the last few days and there are quite a few spring to mind. Also wanting to have a go at taking some of my favourite films and writing a topic from the title. Anyway, today's title was really tough to write for me as my mental health really struggled at the start of recovery. It's much better now. I've also been delaying writing a topic on harms. It's an important part of my recovery to make amends but I need a bit more time to write it and start my step 9 next week so that's for another day.
Tiring day today but very good. Did the school run and took my partner to work. Took my daughter shopping as she asked to go and get a few bits. Took car to car wash and charged it then back home to watch the football. No idea how I got back at 1130 without anyone telling me the result but so glad I could sit down and enjoy it.
Spent the afternoon doing some work around the house and finishing the unpacking well trying to as it's never ending. Drove down to GA tonight which was a cracking meeting. Back home and waiting up for the modern meeting meeting online at 1am as it's in the States and one of my highlights of the week. Early start tomorrow so will try and catch up on some zzzs in the afternoon.
