Hi,
Well 43 days ago I finally confessed to my husband about my addiction to roulette after losing 1000.00 approx on a Saturday night. I was chasing my losses as we all do.
I joined gam stop and to be honest it's the best thing I've ever done . The longest I've been gf before that is about 6 days .
I haven't missed the anxiety and guilt of losing money. All the bills are paid on time and i have money in the bank every night , before if there was any money in the bank it would have been gambled away.
My husband still has trust in me and i won't ruin that by gambling again.
I've seen the light there is more to life than watching that wheel spin round for hours on end .
I would just like to say Thank you to everyone for sharing your problems and giving advice ,it's helped me a great deal to know that I'm not the only one to be pulled into this dreadful addiction.
To all of you put there who have just started on this new journey of being gamble free it's hard at first but gets better .I don't think about it anymore and definately don't miss it .
Good luck everyone, let's all beat this together xxx
Hello Frank26,
Well done for registering with GamStop, and for sharing support here on our forum. Your encouraging post may well inspire others with hope that they may be able to do something similar, using the support of the people closest to you and putting blocks in place like self-exclusion through GamStop.
