Hello everyone , so I’ve just signed up here and just need to vent a little I guess as I don’t really talk to anyone about this , I’ve gambled for years had the big wins lost it all again like many don’t get me wrong I’ve don’t nice things and got nice things but a large percentage always goes back , anyway I’m 38 now split with the babies mum a year ago and living with parents I earn 2000 a month 30 hours a week and outgoings of 600 a month (loans and child maintenance) I got out of hospital in January after getting sectioned with my mental health but I am in a much better place now , just struggling a bit at the minute with my impulses especially gambling not only that just spending in general too , I guess I just spend quick before it gets wasted gambling and off a night find myself getting really bored , so recently I won a large amount and was on top of the world confidence sky high buying all new stuff treating people almost get cocky if I’m honest like I can get more and more , reailty finally does hit and boom gave most of it back this week I’ve got 500 to my name until payday end of the month which is good for me but I’m just resisting the urge to gamble , guess I feel a bit stuck at the min I really struggle saving and I really want to make a life for myself get my own place ect , I’m just looking for advice and share some stories , I’ve looked at opening a fixed term saver not for any particular just so I can life comfortably I guess , only thing that worries me if my car goes it’s very old and what if I put my money aside and it needs work I travel for work you see. Sorry about the rant thanks for taking time to read. 😊
