Hi so i had a relapse today 8 hour binge, just locked in my room with a computer, horses until 9.10pm (last uk race) then blackjack for the last 3 hours. I guess there have been a few triggers, depression and the constant boring monotony of my life, this persistant jaw pain that i cant seem to shake off, and having friends that went to the races today (Chester). I ll be starting from day 1 again from tomorrow.

Hi Richy244,

Hope you arwe well, we have all slipped at one point but at least you know where you went wrong and not made excuses. Keep stong you can do it day by day :). i was recently invited to the dogs for a party but declined saying i had no intrest but will meet after at a bar so to avoid the urge. I recently put blockers on my pc and laptop and the good tip i was given was use a barcode from a can of soup or something you wouldnt buy or think about as your password. Massive help as now i have no uinterest in trying to break this password. Hopefully this might heklp you on your road to recovery.

Take Care

Hi Richy244.

Have you seen the advice that willpower alone wont do it? Has that been explained to you?

You need to focus that gambling does not make anything better. We all have iffy days but gambling will just make it 100 times worse.

You need to step things up now with some openness and reaching out for some help. Online gambling needs the sort of blocks you can get around or you will have to hand your gadgets over. Its that serious if you are seeking full recovery.

If you havent had blocks or close support you are not really starting again because you havent started a full recovery. There is no room for half measures and I hope you will continue to use the forum and talk things through. I hope this will make you think things through because nothing changes if nothing actually changes.

Best wishes from everyone on the forum
