After struggling with gambling for the past three years and experiencing serious financial and emotional consequences, I have finally taken strong, irreversible steps toward recovery.
Last weekend, I made a clear decision to quit gambling completely. As part of this decision, I registered with GamStop and have blocked myself from all gambling activities for a long period. I also closed all bank accounts that I previously used for gambling purposes and informed my banks to prevent any gambling-related transactions in the future. I have cut off every possible channel that could lead me back to gambling.
Now, my focus is on repaying my loans, clearing my credit card debt, and most importantly, spending more time with my family. Rebuilding trust and stability in my life is my top priority, and I am committed to making lasting changes.
Thank you for being here for people like me who are trying to turn things around.
Good eveningÂ
Well done on your steps to quit. Be careful with what bank you choose, most now have gambling controls you can stop transactions with. Sign up to Gamstop. Also keep posting here on the forums. It'll help immensely.
Well done 🥰
That’s amazing, I’ve been struggling really bad and relapsed. I broke the trust of my partner with it what advice would you give to help regain trustÂ
Well done, I’ve recently had a replase and it has impacted me massively financially and with in relationship.
i have my first session with my counselor next week and I’m determined to recover  for my family and myself.
the dark cloud I have been living under for the past few years is very slowly clearing.
i don’t expect things to be perfect for a while as it’s the trust and honest you have to build back up, but seeing the person you love most hurt so much deep down is the reason, the only reason I will beat this illness.
good luck with your journey and we are always here to talk.
