I’ve been gambling since I was 13 and I was 42 on Friday. I’ve had spells where I’ve stopped for 12 months but they’re rare and I’m only just realising how much I’ve been gambling through out my life now writing this.Â
29 years of my life 😳
And still continuing to do it, now I know gambling is not the problem and it’s the solution to the problem.Â
I think we feel s**t about ourselves and so then decide to gamble, for a number of reasons. A form of escapism, to be in control of the way we feel even if it’s feeling s**t about ourselves.Â
I’ve recently came out of a 9 year relationship and living in a 1 bed flat with a shared kitchen. My life feels like it’s fell apart.
I do have some positives like we all do, but sometimes it becomes overwhelming.Â
I feel at rock bottom and have to take the steps to pick myself back up!Â
I am 41 and equally just come to realise how much if my life has been wasted through gambling! It will take me years to pay of gambling debt but once this is done I am hoping to start living life in the real world instead of wasting anymore time!
