Hi,

This has been a long time coming .... I've been a problem gambler for my entire adult life (30 years ish).  I try again and again to stop it permanently but once again it took over!  I'm an online gambler who plays slots.  I know why I started all those years ago, I just don't know why I continue!

The recent stop was for a few months then I received yet another email offer - I took them up on the offer (sadly) and 6 weeks in, several thousand down - I'm back to the beginning and quite honestly angry!

I thought I had permanent blocks on all accounts but it appears that self exclusion does not really apply permanently as my account with one group was re-opened with no questions asked.  I have never changed any of my details, email address etc but it apparently did not trigger warnings that I was self excluded!  I guess it's made them a bit extra but didn't do much for me or my bank.

After the usual short time of wallowing it's time to dust myself off and start over.  I'm hoping to make it longer this time (forever would be good).

Sorry to hear about your relapse. Have you considered switching your bank to Monzo? They have a gambling block so you won’t be able to use your card for any gambling related transaction. Not even through paypal. You can remove the block but it will take 48 hrs to get that done so hopefully by then the urge is gone and you can tell them to keep the block on.
