Hi Floral Dress

I am sorry to hear about your struggles. I have been there a few times myself. t is such a horrible gut wrenching feeling. You feel like you are in a pit unable to get out. Although I have been having some problems myself recently. There is a solution &  hope. I have found the light at the end of the tunnel before. Just thought I would say hi & let you know that I have identification with the awful stress that gambling brings. Have you thought about closing your account or registering for gamstop? Chasing yout losses never works because I have tried many times. As a compulsive gambler I just can't stop. Acceptance, being kind to yourself & making plans to move forwards has worked for me in the past.

Take care

Hi Floral Dress.

You are in the right place and you are welcome.

I would need to know more about your gambling but that is a lot of money and a clear sign of a craving and addiction and a complete loss of control.

These are tough time and its costing me a chunk of my mental health my job abd the easy transfer to a similar job elsewhere.

However I know that gambling is not an escape or  the answer to this situation. Its a temporary distraction which ,makes things worse after the short time its over.

Its a drug addiction and you need to stay on this site  to learn about it and the sheer power to control you

You can talk to us here or on chat because we understand this addiction. However you need to be ready to act on the trusted advice and thet means abstention from gambling and a full journey of recovery.

You need reality checks because its not a get it back later scheme. They havent made a note that Floral dress is owed back £1000 when she tries again. Its not an IOU and that why its called gambling. You are ignoring the odds but I can assure you the gambling dens are not They are planning the tropical yacht lifestlyle because they have mitigated the risk

Can you tell someone close because losing a grand is a massive reality check. You need to understand the craving works like reaching for a drug. It also hooks us because we think we can put things right next time

Keep talking keep reading the stories because gambling destroys people. If you stop now you can consider yourself fortunate...Yes because its got real horrors lined up for you if you continue.

Its not a game about a silly flutter. You need to understand what actually made you do that with your hard earned money

Best wishes from everyone on the forum
