I am absolutely gutted and feel a big let down. Prior to this I hadn't gambled for over 6 years and life was OK. I self excluded etc. Recently I had managed to access a new casino online and I had won money. I gave some to my sister and I had did few home improvements. Life isn't peachy. I noticed all of a sudden my luck had started to go. I am now in 39k debt which I will have paid off in 5 years and I feel ashamed of myself. I really thought when I won my life had changed but wish it hadn't happened. I confided in my sister today and she is going to support me. I'm going to do this and not give up!Â
Thats amazing u remained gamble free for 6 years just shows u can do this im in similar situation i too managed 3 years life was ok then relapsed badly which got me into debt this was the final straw has i never took a loan out to gamble i am on day 721 since then and i am back to the plus side the difference is this time i have worked on myself and found other interests i see a benefit for not giving my hard earned cash to those vultures i know i will always be an addict their other things i do want to do and sadly the gambling industry killed my finances and will still take few years before i can do everything what regular folks do has long has i dont gamble i am free from not only losses the truma it brings with it, gamban etc help but from my experience u have to work on yourself i can still find a way to gamble and i always will so it my duty is to what i can in order to minimize the the risk this is the only way out for me coming on here regulary i believe it what helped me as i still get these stupid thoughts which can be a trigger but am only feeling scared of the concequences as it happened 100s off time regardless if i win or loseÂ
