Hi sadie
I ama recovering CG.
Have you told your partner or family of your problem? Can somebody take control/monitor your finances fror a period. Have you thought about attending GA?
The software blocker is a good start, but you will need support to help you along the way. Don't be embarrassed to ask for help along the way.
Best wishes

Hello Sadie,

Hi sadie
It's going to be very hard with both of you gambling. Is your partner willing to try giving up the gambling? The advice from GA is to not associate with people who gamble...the talk will always somehow get around to how he had a big win, and that can trigger an urge within you.
I have never met a rich gambler, in monetary terms or family. I have met a lot of ex-gamblers who, whilst not rich in monetary terms, are rich in family. Both your futures are at stake here. If you want to stop, you can, and have a very happy life together.
If one of you, or both of you continue to gamble, your lives will be full of missed opportunities and regrets.
Best wishes
Sadie, it's like you're reading my mind! 🙂 My situation is very similar. it's nice to know that others are up against the same battle and facing it head on. You're very brave for being so honest.
Judsg is right - we can do this!!
rednow hi and im glad atleast theres others out there....wots ur story if u dont mind me asking
Hi Sadie, I've literally just seen your post asking me about my story.
Feel free to pop over to my diary. A LOT has happened since your last post.
Hope you're safe and still with us 🙂
Hello, Sadie,
If you want things to change, then you're going to have to make changes. It won't happen with half measures and lip service. If you and your partner agree together to stop and you give each other encouragement and support, that would give you the best chance.
If there's really no one who can look after your money, then open a cash card instant saver and set up Direct Debits to move your money out of reach of your Visa card on pay day. Self exclude, install effective blockers, downgrade your mobile, go to GA. These are the measures that will make the difference.
Hope this helps.

Your story sounds like mine! It's just so easy to press deposit, don't realise until you look at your bank statements and then it's gone.
I had a few weeks of feeling sick, anxious, dread and then I took the steps and blocked everything ect.Hardest but best thing I've done.
Same story,same name! Scary ha.
Affected by gambling?
