Just dropping by to congratulate you on 44 days of winning 🙂

Rubbish to hear that your sums are worse than you 1st thought but great that you are in a position to pay it, most would not have realised where they were heading! Sounds like you are getting your head round your future 🙂

Keep winning - ODAAT

Thanks ODAAT. By the way. I like your new profile picture. I feel like that when I wake up.

Even if you feel your aren't seeing any changes, just think how worse it would be if you were still gambling.

I also like this quote. I've stopped now for 19 days. Even though financially things are the same at least they are not worse.

Yes, not worse is good. I can settle for not worse, till things get better.

Sometimes it takes a while to see results, depending on your circumstances.

I started to stop gambling a few days before I was due to get paid.

So for the next few days and the next pay month I didn't notice any difference But when I got paid I saw the difference and it was quite scary how much I was gambling.

From that point onwards I started to see the debt come down and so I could see results

In PJ situation the results will start to show once the next couple of months pass. But he'd have less money for the taxman if he had gambled so even if not on paper he is achieving results.

I always see it like dieting, I'm going on holiday next month and want to lose a few pounds. A waste of time some might say, you'll put it back on. Ahh but even if I do, I'll still weigh less after the holiday than if I did nothing before the holiday.

Hey, just flying by (a bit late) to congratulate you on your 1st half century & welcome you into your second one 🙂

If they're not starting to yet, things will get better! Taxi man wrote on his diary the other day that the 1st 50 were really hard but then the days started really clocking up fast & I can completely relate to that! I know we are all different but with this under your belt hopefully you are getting stronger & stronger so that when the urges visit you can tell them to get lost!

The money will sort just as long as you stay in recovery! Keep strong - ODAAT

Thanks Steve & ODAAT.

Day 52 was a rough one. Alot of problems I had to face head on today.

No urges, thankfully, just a tough day in life.

Appreciate the support as always.

Day 74 Gamble Free- My Day of wreckning. Today I find out what I owe in taxes. $32000 I owe the government. Needless to say, I can't afford to pay it, so I have to apply for a payment plan for 6 years. I am so screwed. But I did create this situation, and now I have to work myself out of this situation. Today is a severely depressing day. I am getting tired of having to resolve things by myself all the time. Hopefully this feeling will pass soon.

Ouch but you will get there on your own merits without the lies & deceit the addiction bring!

76 days of winning is fantastic & you will not be making your debts any bigger by abstaining!

Keep strong - ODAAT

Well I guess you knew it was coming and at least you now have a plan and a goal to focus on.

Over 2 months gamble free is a great achievement and your definitely in a better position than had you kept on gambling.

I would personally look at putting as much as possible towards the debt, leaving a minimal amount of spare cash.

I found I was able to put more towards my debt, by making some simple changes, such as supermarket branded goods, packed lunches, no shop bought coffees or soft drink. Walk where possible instead of car or public transport.

All these things add up to an amazing amount and a strict budget can lead to hundreds saved in a year.

Good luck and obviously keep us updated on how things are going.
