I have been a member of this site for 6 months or so. This is my first time posting. I’m hoping that by writing this down the reality of the situation will resonate with me better as I feel like I’ve been living in a different world due to slots gambling almost as if it hasn’t been real! I have been addicted to slots for almost 3 years, I’ve had a fair amount of tough times in life resulting in anxiety and depression and possible PTSD,  A lot has happened in my life recently after a long term relationship breakdown and moving into a new place with my daughter. I have had bouts where I’ve abstained for months at a time but then the weakness takes over me. I have blocked 100’s of sites, tried Gamban, signed up for Gamstop, and blocked debit transactions. I always seem to find a way round it when the compulsion takes over then afterwards it’s a spiral of self hatred, shame and disgust. I would really like some support, ideally initially something I can do online anonymously, sorry for the long post! Thank you for readingÂ

my situation is very much like yours. It’s a hard pattern to break but why don’t you try and class your new move as a new start and complete fresh beginning. Use it as a motivator to put it all behind you.Â
I totally understand the compulsion, hours wasted away and the highs and lows of wins and losses. You’re not alone!Â
you can do this, put as many blocks in place as you can, including on your bank and find something to fill up your time when you’re alone - reading, wiring, exercise, Netflix anything but gambling.Â
