Great decision coming here whilst you still have some money left...You need to arrest this addiction now to ensure the rest does not disappear! It is vital now that you let go of what has gone, many of us here have horror stories of chasing losses of a few hundred with thousands & thousands!

This is a wonderful place for guidance & support on what can be a bumpy journey! I know you have excluded but are you aware that you can get blocking software? This is a useful tool in breaking your Time-Money-Location triangle as removing one takes away the ability to gamble!

if you feel better for posting, why not pop over onto the recovery diary section & set yourself up, many of us have found this an extremely useful tool in our recovery!

I am also resigned to the fact that a will no get the money i have lost back, but cant help feeling guilty about the things i could have done with it. Hope your gambling urges stay away Joydivider day 3 tomorrow!

Day number 3 for me finding it hard today, cant stop thinking of the amount of money i have lost feel my heads going to explode!!! Need to try to keep busy and try to stay strong, going to be a long day.

Hello. similar story to me, if you can find my first post, Its been over 6 months since i lost my savings and it does get better. I too used to think every day for a couple of months what i could of done with the money I lost (go travelling etc) and then someone said to me, if you had'nt lost the money you wouldnt of went travelling anyway, your money would of just been in the bank sitting there so so forget about it and move on.

Hello StevenJ, have just read your first post and take some comfort in you saying it does get better, like you i lost big when trying to chase my money back on a odds on bet. I also relate to what you said about thinking what you could have done with the money you lost, its only day 3 for me so i am feeling very guilty at the minute. Thanks for commenting on my post 🙂

hi chartom new member tonight too feel quite weird but its a steep in the right direction !lookin too speak too folk with same problem offering good advice and understand what its like too be a gambler that thinks this bet is gona put it right

Hi Shank, thanks for posting on my thread, pretty new to all this as well its good we have admitted we have a problem.I haven't bet in 3 days after another big loss hope we can both get help on here
