Hi Iain
I get your rationale and maybe if you can keep coming out then maybe keeping the Christmas happy for the kids is nice.
However you will obviously still have it hanging over you so your Christmas will be tarnished.
Whatever you do mate the main positive is you've stopped gambling and faced up to the fact you are an addict as am I.
As I've said before to feel normal again and to properly restart your life you need to get it out and see if you and your mrs have a future and hopefully if you do you can move forward and with her knowing will help make it harder to gamble again.
Good luck mate
Chris
Hi Chris,
Thanks for your comments. Yes I'm just going to have to get through Christmas, the main thing for me is that the kids enjoy their Christmas. Whatever lies in store for me after that I will have to face it head on. As you say, the main thing is I am not gambling.
I have started a diary in the "Recovery Diaries" section now so won't be commenting on this thread anymore however it would be great if you could comment on my diary instead and let me know how you are getting on please.
Hope all is good with you.
Affected by gambling?
