My gambling debt is £600 a month, no car, no loft conversion, just money for nothing. Every Casino out there must love it when the regular 40p spin man loses the plot and is all of a sudden doing £300 roulette spins, 1 in a 100 will win but the rest of us have been suckered in slowly and some fall off the edge of the cliff, I nearly fell off maybe even looked down but am walking back now shaking my head as to how I walked the Road to Riches path.

Hello On the Brink,
I am just coming out of a gambling problem and the three things that helped me were: Telling those close to me about my issues so they could provide support & understanding, gettnig private CBT from a counsellor with experience in gamblers and hitting the gym instead.
Whatever helps you I wish you good luck!

Hi smashed and cleanshirt, thanks for taking the time to post. I agree there is only one winner and the rational part of me believes it is the crazies way to waste money, time and destroy life, relationships mental wellbeing. I can't disagree with potential benefits of sharing and discussing a problem with gambling but unfortunately my circumstances aren't right my wife will not understand and I can't take the chance of not being with my children. Whilst some will take the view that this is not my decision to make I can't take this chance.

I got myself / us in the position and I will sort it and have for a year. I have just got complacent and thanks to posts from your kind folks and others has helped me to refocus and go again!

I agree that fitness / gym is a help and something that I have tried to do, this has helped me to focus and concentrate on a healthy body and mind (sounds a bit cheesey I now but it works)!
