Hello DP_1968 and others.

We understand that some people have found this thread triggering. While the forum can never be completely free of anything that might offend or hurt someone, we do recognise that talking about winnings, particularly exact figures, can be triggering, so we've made some edits to the original post.

For those who feel angry when they read posts like this, remember you have the option to flag the post and it will be looked at by a moderator. You can also email forum.admin@gamcare.org.uk.

Gambling is by its nature up and down. What's most important is that you stop, and don't give in to the temptation to chase either wins or losses. We're glad DP_1968 is receiving support to acheive this.

Best wishes

It was pointed out to DP that it was probably best not to mention amounts which he has taken on board. So dont understand why he is still getting grief about it. As it was his first post he just expressed how he felt & im sure meant no harm.
There was another post yesterday on the diary section of someone winning £8.50 then buying flowers for his wife with his winnings. Nothing mentioned about this even though said poster is a serial boaster of winnings... double standards...?

I think the title of the diary is a clue plus I think your phrase delusional is not helpful.

However some good advice has been provided on an unusual set of circumstances.

Again as with this forum each to there own

No worries Balvaird. I will give you the brownie points. In the context of the thread its just not helpful for me to go on.

I usually stand back from threads where I dont feel comfortable. I was right to have concerns but I couldnt overcome my emotions in a positive and helpful way. I do make mistakes and shouldnt have posted there.

Thats interesting how it affected me there and I will work on that

I hope that DP gets all the help he needs from the good people on this forum
