Hi,
I am a seriously addicted gambler. Average loss £800 per month, last month £1500. Only sustainable because I have extra income for now. But I'm living like a pauper! And saving nothing. Haven't gambled since Nov 30th but that means nothing; I binge gamble, so Ill go 15 days without and then spend £300 impulsively. Going to counselling on Monday for the first time. Going to make a real effort to stop.
Hi, I am the same. I binge gamble terribly and it's just cost me my family. You can beat it, WE can beat it.
When the fun stops, stop. Not as easy as that though is it.
I hope you get it sorted soon pal, I've lost my family but I need to do this for myself.
Welcome mixer
Good to have you aboard
Hopefully the counselling gives you a good kick start into recovery
All the best
Cheers KP82. Really sorry to hear you've lost your family. I know the answer is to totally stop and to never buckle or "reward" myself for being a "good boy". It's like an alcoholic having "just one drink" I imagine. What Im doing is avoiding all sight of gambling, online, on apps, everything. Got to be worth a shot. Good luck to you too.
Thanks Dean. I might just write a diary on here, might help me and possibly others, we're all in this hell together.
Hello again mixer I take it your gambling was online?
If so I have a post on the overcoming section that takes you to a barclays website that do cash only bank cards. Ie no online ability to gamble might be worth a look.
Hi Deano, my weakness unfortunately is FOBTs. Have already banned myself from every online casino known to man! And every land-based casino come to that. However appreciate you alerting me to your post; thank you.
Affected by gambling?
