I'm addicted to the forum...I check the recovery diary sections hundreds of times a day (well maybe not hundreds now but it used to be that many) so I see when I have new posts & lately also check the active topics. I recognise the titles of current diaries so then only really look @ the newly updated threads.

I am happy going over to the posters to say thanks but I regret answering questions elsewhere as a lot of my deeper stuff is scattered round the forum. I'm still not convinced there is a right or wrong way but I've read my crazy back a few times & even though I lived & breathed all my responses & the humour has been a huge part of my recovery, it is a confusing mess!

You should never feel like an outsider, this is a public forum & you are as entitled to anyone to your opinions so try not to let your anxiety tell you you aren't worthy. We're also a forum of humans so stands to reason we're gonna fall out from time to time. I used to think every time someone posted something derogatory about an unnamed poster that they must be talking about me, now not so much. If people have a problem with me, they need to tell me & I'll wind it in, no point getting my Bridget Jones's in a twist coz of a guilty conscience. I've had disagreements/fallen out/lost contact with people that I've swapped addresses with, it happens, ain't none of us perfect.

Don't get too bogged down in trying to work out how you should use the site, from what I've seen, you're doing a great job @ the moment, use it how you want to, how it feels right for you 🙂

Hi allainepo , Just jumping in on your conversation with Odaat and I have to agree you're doing a great job of getting around the forum :)) I see lots of great input on various threads and some well thought out replies . As Odaat said , don't worry to much about how you use the site , it's the interaction that helps I think and you certainly come accross as doing that :)).

Sometimes it's just the talking that helps and it doesn't always have to be too gambling related , if you want agood old rant then feel free to just get it out there ! .

Your always welcome to come over to my diary if you feel the need anytime , probably won't make much sense at times because it doesn't to me either , lots of pointless conversations and giggles along the way but I prefer being happy and gamble free these day's to the alternative :)) .

Best wishes for now my friend and I'll talk to you soon , and keep your footprints running around the forum :)).

Alan

Hi allainepo,
Just wanted to say hi and I've just seen your post on Stephen's.
When you look at where you were 130 days ago, what you have achieved now Is amazing and you should feel proud of yourself.
I hope you go from strength to strength.
Take care x

Hi allainepo I hope that I can be as strong as you are when I reach the 100plus mark. I think anxiety is a trait of this disease. I take propranol for anxiety and amitriptyline for nervepain. Feeling fear free is my driver to stop. Gambling is making me mentally ill

Hi allainepo,

Just wanted to see how you are doing and if you have heard any more about your case? I have been quiet for a while as I had my baby but still can't stop the gambling 🙁 ive posted on my thread in more detail.

Well done on the 154 days of not giving in to this vile addiction!

How are you doing yourself Rach I hope everything is as good as can be expected. This addiction we have and the places it has led me to have been ridiculous. So many times I made bad decisions instead of dealing with my anxiety the correct way. Taking responsibility now though.
