I just wanted to put this out for all the new members that come along to this forum looking for the answer to gambling addication/issues.

Firstly this is a very serious issue, coming here you maybe think you have a problem, and a log on to this site and pouring of the heart, you may think ................ I am cured. Well you won't be, words mean nothing, only actions can solve this probIem.

I have spent the best part of ten years trying to sort myself out through gambling, many others on here have been down the same path, I would urge you to read their diaries and threads of, Duncan Mac, Oldham, Little Miss Lost, Sharon 41 , Abstainer, to mention a few. But the real pain and heartrending story on here is Sabine, if you are here and are serious about stopping this awful addication read her diary and thread and see where gambling, it's losses and life's toll took her.

For me I have lost so much to this problem, by listing what I have lost I am not bragging, it is truly heart breaking. I have worked all my life, saved very hard, I have lost all my savings and pensions (nearly), I won in Dec.2016 £k400, took it all and gave it all back to the gambling industry over a year, why I cannot answer ......................... I confessed many times to members of my family and my loved on (second time around-do it properly this time ...... oh i wish), I lost her when I re-alised i could not live the lie any longer.

I am an outcast now to her and all her family, half of my family will not speak to me, at the age of 60, i live from paycheck to paycheck.

So I ask any new member tonight, is this what you want, later in life, no lover, no friends, no family, no support, no money, ................................ nothing, this is where gambling will take you. THINK HARD ABOUT YOUR FUTURE LIFE BEFORE PRESSING THAT SPINNING WHEEL.

I hope this remains at the top of the threads for newbies to read, a sobering thought
