I know I should come on here and post when I get the urge but that doesn't potentially win any money! The road to hell is always paved with good intentions as they say. I'm going to veer off at the next slip road hopefully. I shall see on Tuesday when I have cash in the bank!

You get paid tomorrow ... If you gamble it you will lose it ... And you'll feel even worse, again ... Not worth the risk!

I know, I have 2 sites to go and shut down, think I'll do it now off the desktop, then I can't gamble...

I'll report back when I've done it 🙂

Your story sounds awful Janie and only have sympathy for your situation.

Please put some real blocks in place to stop it happening tomorrow.

I installed the K9 thing last night, and self excluded myself. Do the same and put your wages away somewhere you can't deposit them so easily...

Put your wages somewhere you can't get at them, give them to someone else even.

Just do whatever it takes to not have access to them.

I'm good. I haven't deposited at all and closed down another account today. My money is going on bills food etc, I've been down the not paying bills to gamble road before and I'm on top of them now so staying on top hopefully. My washing machine decided to die today though and I keep thinking I could have had a top of the range one with my winnings. Never mind, I'm sure it's the pump so I'll get one and put it on. I put new brushes on it last year so a pump can't be to difficult.....! I've still got accounts to close so will get to to them tomorrow. I'm also putting money in my jar and starting to save again. If I leave it in bank it's to easy to deposit with. How are you getting on mr chips? 🙂

Hi Janie00, I really feel for you, it must be really awful to have lost that amount of money! I have been gambling for over 10 years and have never won more than £1200.00 which I put back into the machine! I cannot even begin to imagine how gutted you must feel! I have just recently had my bank card changed to a cashcard which means I'm not able to gamble online anymore and I think it's the best move I've made so far, I don't want to have to feel that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach when I've had yet another big loss! All the best!!

I was thinking about changing my card to a bog standard one, I didn't gamble until I got my first one when I was 37. I'm going to give myself a couple of weeks, start changing my mindset to being tight with my money...save save save!! I figured that in 2 months time I can save around 600 to 900 quid unless things like broken washing machines appear!! I don't know, I'm trying not to make to many plans and take it as it comes in case I get too stressed if things don't go right. I generally live on stress and make myself ill. I haven't felt very good since blowing the money, tired all the time, can't swallow properly sometimes, just want to hide away from everyone, amongst other stuff. It'll be ok in the end, and if it's not ok, it's not the end!

Well guys, I've done it again..I won £2300 today and guess what?? Yep, I lost it tonight, w*f. I only put a tenner on and after about 2 hours I had over 2 grand. Not bad for a day sitting on my a**e doing nowt. I can't stop and I can't keep hold of it when I do win. It seems I don't really want to help myself/stop. I have no money again now for 2 weeks, no food, nothing, zilch. I don't think I really care about myself or my life, where I am, what I'm doing or where I'm heading. In fact I've never known where I'm heading and I'm 50 in 5 years. I pop on here when I'm really fu***d off with myself, read others problems and then just get back to the same old rigmarole. I need to change but can't find it in me to do what I need to do. All the advice in world won't help until I can start helping myself....f**k 🙁

Hello Janie,

The feeling of not being able to stop is something we all can relate too. I am here to tell you, that one way or another, you will stop gambling. Either because you have no money and resource to money, or because you wish to stop. I had to learn that lesson the hard way. The choice is yours on how you wish to stop. It does not matter how much you win, trust me. You will spend it again, either the same day or within a couple of months, depending on how much you win. You are not a bad person, just an addict like us, who has the gambling industry attacking us at every point, making it convenient for us to withdraw our money. If you have to go to all cash, like the good old days, just so you don't gamble, then do that. Nothing wrong with straight cash in your hand. It worked for thousands of years prior to debit/credit card.

I am here wishing for your success Janie.

Kind Regards,

AM
