196 days clean.

Marching on towards my double century on Wednesday. I am in the gamble-free groove at the moment so am filled with confidence and optimism.

I do hope Bornagain does not desert this site - he is such an honeset, hardworking individual. It would be a shame if he were to leave as a result of the behaviour of those administering this site. I have never had much time for the administrators - I do not think they really understand problem gambling because they are not problem gamblers themselves. It takes one to know one. This site is made worthwhile by the fantastic people that use it and who lend their support to others as we all battle to arrest this dangerous addiction. We are fragile individuals who are trying to change our lives for the better. We need to be treated with respect and tolerance. Onwards!

o*g, took me a while to read all these posts....what on Earth it.s all this about....when I joined this site back in December last year, I believed we can talk nice and clear and open about our addiction....now people leaving because some "talks" on the chat room....really....te 2015 Challenge is the BEST thing this site has. And the people that used to run the challenge gave the others the power to overcome their addiction. Now the Admin is telling us off....really???....we are humans, and yes we have or had problems gambling our money or even worst our life.....I believe the "big people" should let us express our thoughts free....that's why all of us came here....we want to be happy and see how our GF days are going up and talk free about the gambling industry!!!

Not sure if there is a point to checking in if the challenge fails to run anymore. I used to be excited by just seeing my name and GF days with others on the weekly update, and it's seeing my days rack up, and not wanting to have to start at 0 again, that has pushed me to stay gamble free. It sounds so simple and silly but it's true.

It will be a shame for you to go Phil, and for this challenge to cease to exist. I've achieved so much in the last 5 months just from stopping gambling!

The admin seem pretty cold and robot like. You'd think they would care a little but hey-ho. f**k em!

Checking in/out of this challenge for slightly different reasons from others that have left this week. I came here for support which I really don't feel I've been getting, yeh if you fall by the wayside then those folk do but for the ones who started this challenge on 1st Jan and have kept to the challenge there's not been much encouragement. I know it boils down to the responsibility lying with each and everyone of us to stay gamble free. I'm now over 6 months gamble free and in a different place from last year when I was in the darkest place with online slots - no more - I have seen the light and will continue my GF journey. Keep strong everyone, one day at a time and a MASSIVE THANKS to those few that have supported me.

Checking out

Mo

Hi troops checking in for the new week on 433 days.

It's great to see so many checking in even though we are not sure about our Phil, but if we stay as a team, his 6 months of hardwork won't be in vain, and we are still here if he chooses to return.

Keep strong troops, and keep winning, recovery is sooo very much worth the hard work.

Have a great new even more positive gambling free week.

Suzanne xx

Sitting here on Sunday night reading back historical posts and saddened by the issues over the past week. This forum has been an immense help in my recovery and Phil completely empathise with your position.
