Missed check in due to working 80 hour week, day 20 gamble free, have cash to spend and debts are reducing.

Wishing everyone a positive start to a new week.

Another great post! Thanks for the mention! Being mentioned is really helping me. Feeling part of something means I will let you all down if I gamble. Currently, only I know that I have a problem.thats enough at the moment. But it's good to be part of this community.

Morning All ! Checking in three weeks today !!! so happy at the moment. Saturday was the first real big urges in the three weeks, I done some labouring for a friend (im a pen pusher monday to friday) so it was a physical challenge, and it was money earned on top of my usual wage, so in my head it was disposable income, we went to a pub straight from the job and theres a bookies about 200 yards from it. BUT very glad to say I didn't go anywhere near it, got a few rounds of drinks in and went home with profit left in my pocket for the day and a feeling of winning 🙂

Keep up the good work troops, have a good week !

Thanks again clare for an excellent post, I hope you have a great holiday 🙂

Day 403 - checking in.

This time last year I was struggling with all the local talk of the Galway Races. My mindset is changing & I have no such worries this year. I choose not to gamble & am happy making that choice. The racing talk can go on in the background, it won't tempt me back with false promises.Stay strong everyone especially those who are struggling. Life can be so much better. Suzy

Thanks thegerman it has made a huge difference to my bank balance which is great, the best thing about stopping gambling is getting my time back to spend with the family rather than looking at football fixtures all day, long gone are the days where I was moody and withdrawn and long may it last.
