Don't try this at homeÂ
Â
Hi everyoneÂ
So after getting through the dreaded CH festival, without a bet, watching any of it, ignored adverts and that voice telling me.. look up the results, there is no harm in that. So I was feeling strong and my guard is fully up. I'm not suggesting anyone does this but I wanted to share something.
I'm not proud of this as I have an amazing partner and two children which I owe so much to. As you can imagine the week is always busy, well when I had a job last year so the weekends were family time and precious. So back last year I served data subject access reports on 64 operators that I had accounts with. I knew I would have a fraud case to answer at some point so I thought I might need the info. I hadn't read them until this evening or my bank statements. The first sad thing about my life in action is that this information could be read and detail my day So I know every Saturday for the last 10 years of my 44 year career I would spend Saturday morning writing out my horse racing, rugby, football, American sports which I knew nothing about, bets out. Years ago on betting slips but since online betting on sheets of A4 paper. Reams of sheets of combination bets, lucky 15s, lucky 31s, lucky 63s and goliaths so I know I would have been doing that. I am guessing I was up from 5am ISH probably after the usual 3 hours sleep. So the data showed I was playing online slots on my phone in one hand and no doubt writing the bets out from 530am. Online slots finished at 1130am after a six hour stint. Bets were placed from 10am through to 1230pm and I can tell you I was quick when placing these. Maybe a bet every 15 seconds by the looks of the info. At 1231 I was back on slots for 2 hours and then there was a gap of 45 minutes. Maybe family time or run to the shops etc possibly even eating but that wouldn't have stopped the slots. 320pm more sportsbook bets placed and slots from 4pm to 6pm. No idea what happened from 6 to 7 but then slots from 7pm to 215am when I must have gone to bed. Over the day, unless I have missed something on the info I ended up with a large profit , unusual amount as I would usually lose to round it down, never round it up lol. It was probably another one of those instances where I fell asleep and woke up still pressing the button on my phone.

So this is what happened today Went to bed at 12 and woke up at 8. Went out for a cigarette and said good morning to my partner. Asked if she minded if I had another hours sleep which she said not at all. Woke up at 9 fully refreshed. Said my serenity pray whilst praying and said a few prayers for other people in recovery. Meditated for 10 minutes and then wrote my gratitude list and sent it to my sponsor. Tidied up the house a little and got my son dressed. Drove down with my daughter to see my parents and listened to Adam Lyons podcast on nothings off the table after listening to the last ten minutes of another one When we arrived I had a good chat with my sponsor on the phone at our agreed time. Let my mum go shopping with my daughter to give her a break whilst I looked after my bed ridden dad. When he was asleep I read topics on here. Did a little step 3 work and rang two other GA fellows. Spent some quality time with my mum, dad and daughter and ate a Chinese. Drove back home listening to a drug addiction recovery story. I've never more than dabbled with drugs when I was 18 but addiction is addiction in my own opinion. Got home and went on my beloved 8pm text chatroom whilst talking to my partner and now she has my undivided attention watching some TV. Spent absolutely no money today, ok I used some charge up on my EV I still have a couple more hours to enjoy with my family before inventory and serenity prayer and bed.
To look up today's day digitally would be fairly Impossible and yet that last Saturday in action can be summed up in data which is sadÂ
