Thanks guys.

I didnt gamble yesterday.

But i did go to the bookies after work and look at the races and imagine i was gambling. It was a scratch i couldnt get rid off. I left the bookies with a lot of the same feelings i have when i do gamble.

So im still gamble free but i need to start doing the right things

Got a well needed haircut at lunch. Hadnt had a cut in 5 weeks so it was in a mess.

Then i stopped off somewhere and got a sambo and soup for something to eat. Absolutley delighted with myself.

I put some money into my savings account so i feel like i making the right decisions

Particularly post 24 when u said u were walking to work in rain with scruffy shoes looking rubbish feeling rubbish and not having money for lunch. Now u can start to change that. Buy a months bus fare each time u get paid and spend money on packed lunch (I take soup in and bread in a thermus flask and some crisps) , this will help at work and give you energy. Then with any other spare cash buy some new clothes for work when u can h& m iz very good value and onlin ed for some shoes. And get an umbrella when u can just a pound from sports direct worth a pound. These things alone will make ur life ten times better and easier trust me. Adam

Oh my, how good it was to read your last post Stephen.
Adam (above ) is so right with what he said. Get yourself a bus pass at the beginning of the month.
Not sure whether you realise Stephen but there are many who follow your posts. We've all been waiting for this moment where you tell us you're spending your hard earned cash on yourself for a change.
Take care regarding the bookies. You said yourself you need to start doing the right things.
You've been in this position before. Think about where and how you slipped up in the past, learn from it, try to avoid the pitfalls this time.
Remember that feeling of delight when you bought your lunch.
Making the right decisions means the buzz you got buying and enjoying your lunch could be Г  buzz you could get every day.
Really rooting for you and I'm looking forward to reading more positive posts soon. x

Appreciate the support.

Its mad really how i have started getting used to the long walks to work. I needed someone (Adam) to say "hey you were talking about having to walk to work, get yourself a bus pass" to actually do something about it. So at lunch time i topped up my bus pass for the next month.

Also got myself some lunch for the rest of the week sorted too.

I feel really about how the last few days have gone, feeling like pride for being able to do some shopping and pick out a few bits.

Great news! you sound as though YOU're starting to control your life now.
You should feel pride in yourself. Look what you have achieved! (to my knowledge with no help)
Stay gf and things can only get better! You can do it!! X

Things are still going well for me.

I got some clothes from my ma at Xmas. I thought I had put on weight and that they wouldn't fit. But I tried them on last night and they do.

Heading to a 30th tonight. Been a long time since ive been out so looking forward to it

Im on edge here. Everything has been infuriating me the last few days.

Been waititng two weeks for a new pin for my new card. Debating for the last 4 months whether to get myself a phone. pathetic. People annoying me at work. Not being able to get sleep at noght because my family decide to come home at half 11 every night and the dog barks. P*ssed off with everything. Tried to moved the savings into my current account for extra money but its a notice account.

Im just going to buy a phone for myself and anything else i need. Sick of being a compulsive gambler. Afraid to spend money unless its on a favourite on a cartoon horse race in the bookies

If you need help go to a GA group. Google local meetings. My last post here I was crying our for help. I check the thread two months later and I had two posts.
Any new people here go to a local GA meeting ; tell a friend or speak to someone in your family

And if your new reading this get off this site . It's a site paid for by gambling companies so they feel less guilty.
Look at some of the threads people set up "What are the positives of gambling" etc . Even this site is designed to get you back into gambling . f***k em

And ***** and Mr Boyle your all going to hell. Absolute s******s
