Haha I wish Signalman unfortunately it was my turn this year but I've got new years off so not too bad.

So, I turned 30 yesterday and the missus surprised me with gifts, a lovely cake and a birthday card saying how proud she is of me for coming such a long way and genuinely trying to fight this addiction. Very heart touching. Honestly, I could not have done it without her so I'm truly grateful.

I wasted almost all of my 20s gambling and causing a lot of heartache, stress, anxiety to myself and to my loved ones. Now that I'm stepping into my 30s I'm more than ever determined make something out of my life and become a successful person. When I grow old one day maybe I could reflect upon my life and say that 20s could have killed me but it didn't and instead it made me stronger and it made me what I am now. I feel confident that I'll turn my life around because I believe in myself and I'll take one day at a time to achieve this. Patience is the virtue. Bye 20s hello 30s. 334 days GF.

Pras

Happy birthday bro! You are taking a brave step out of addiction and into liberation - at such a tender age too. This will be the best decision you've ever made. Have a great weekend

Thank for your kind words and continuous support, Signalman. Yes, I've still got a long to live and as long as I don't gamble I think my life will be better. 335 days GF.

Last shift of 2018 and a week off can't wait! Too many night shifts this month certainly have had an impact in my sleeping pattern. Hopefully this break will help me come back to my normal routine. No gambling thoughts or urges. 336 days GF.

Trying to kick start my healthy diet regime and the missus brings home loads of cupcakes SMH!! lol. Very kind of her to offer me some but I resisted them. I'm not saying that I'm gonna be a diet freak but I will just try to reduce the amount of unhealthy snacks, sweets, chocolates etc. I think it's all about the mental strength. If you make your mind strong and be committed you can resist anything. In another news, no gambling urges because I'm strong and my mental strength is growing day by day. 347 days GF.
