Thank you Stace86.

Spent the weekend making big plans about the future, going to the gym and catching up with family and friends. Not bad and on top that I remained gambled free too. Taking one day at a time. 350 not out.

I hope everyone is keeping themeselves warm in this cold weather. Not ideal working nights but I don't have to go outside that often fortunately so not too bad. Went to the gym in the afternoon before work. 5 more days till I become 1 year gamble free. Goodness me time flies. 360 days GF.

Thanks Signalman. Yes, it's been a lovely weekend so far. Tomorrow I complete my first gamble free year and since we are both working all day we thought why don't we do a little celebration over the weekend. When I turned my back on gambling for good I started my recovery path with a refreshing walk over the box hill in surrey enjoying some fantastic views. With that in mind the missus came up with the idea of celebrating 1 year being out in the nature regardless of the weather. So, we went to the black country park near Slough with our four legged friends yesterday. We had a lovely walk around the lake and in the woods enjoying each other's company. My girlfriend said she's very happy with the progress I've made so far and equally proud of the commitment I've shown over this period of time. To be honest I couldn't have done it without her so she deserves a massive credit for what I've managed to achieve so far. After coming home from the walk we finished the day with a take away and few glasses of wine.

Champagne is not a bad idea might open one tomorrowing depending on how knackered I am after a 12 hours shift lol. I hope you're having a great weekend too. Thanks for your well wishes and support as always. Cheers.

Congratulation Pras on 1 year gamble free.

It sends out a strong message that the urges to gamble can be overcome.

Your attitude has been spot on. You made a conscious decision to stop gambling and that is exactly what you have done...Stephen

Massive congrats mate!

Sounds like you had a lovely celebration, it was a lovely and heartwarming message to read. If anyone deserves it you do. Fantastic.

Right, let's go again and make it 2 years! (One day at a time!)

Keep smashing it.

Thank you everyone for your lovely messages. It feels surreal to write that I've completed a whole one year without gambling. Absolutely Signalman, I shall make it 2 years taking one day at a time. 365 days GF.
