Thank you Annie.

Spent the day cutting dog's hair and bathing him. He's a hard work especially when it comes to cutting his hair lol bless him. Did few chores, cooked dinner and watched TV. No gambling thoughts or urges. Keeping mind busy on important things. 64 days GF.

It's been a stressful week especially for my girlfriend. Car started to play up since monday and after spending £1000 on new wiper motor, cambelt, water pump and starter motor it's still not fixed properly. Hopefully, it will be fully fixed tomorrow without any more damages. She had to borrow my car for a couple of days after dropping me to work 30 miles away from home. That means she had to wake up with me at 4:30. The whole situation has caused a lot of stress on her. She was worried about spending so much money but it's one of those things. Just gotta take it on the chin and move on. I tried to support her as much as I could because I didn't want her to stress too much. As the saying goes health is wealth.

These sort of things normally give me urges to gamble so that I could make up the money I forked out on car maintenance. However, this time I was the one telling the girlfriend not to worry about the money because I'm confident that we will make up this money in the long run with hard work and savings. I have had no urges to gamble instead I am even more determined to work hard and save so that we could be ready for such unforeseen circumstances in future.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. Taking one day at a time. 69 days GF.

Hello Pras,

Yea annoying with the car bill but as you say thats just how it goes sometimes. We've gotta learn to take the rough with the smooth and not hide from it (like i know i have in the past).

Well done on your journey so far, hope you two can still enjoy your weekend.

All the best.

Congratulations Pras. It's over 10 weeks since you last gambled and your attitude and approach to recovery is excellent.

Hoping your counselling goes well today. I enjoyed my counselling and believe I am still reaping the benefits from those sessions.

Wishing you well ...stephen

I was asked today at work if I fancied taking part in the grand national sweepstake. I said no and I'm pleased that I didn't hesitate to say no. I know it's all for fun at work but these are the sort of things I need to avoid at all costs. Prevention is better than cure. 75 days GF.
