Jamdownunder - Thank you. I've noticed a lot of positive things over the last 3 months. I've started appreciating the time and the value of money. I do things together with my girlfriend like cooking and planning unlike before where I used to isolate myself from everyone. Basically, I'm a changed man in a positive way and I'm happy.
So, picked up the dog yesterday from the vet. Poor fella looked dizzy and just slept throughout the evening/night. Hopefully he will recover soon. My payslip was online yesterday so had a look to confirm overtime hours and payrise. Getting paid tomorrow and this will be my 3rd pay since I've stopped gambling. Long may it continue. Upwards and onwards. One day at a time. 88 days GF.

So, payday today. I just can't stress enough how significant and relevant every payday seems since I've stopped gambling. As all my finances are controlled by my girlfriend it feels incredible that all my hard earned money is not going to the bookies like it used to as soon as it barely touched my bank account.
We treated ourselves by buying tickets for Let's Rock the Moor festival next month, can't wait!

It feels surreal that I have finally managed to achieve this feat. I have tried so many times before yet failed miserably. However, this time my mindset and conscience have been clear and the focus to stay gamble free has been ever been so strong.
I would not have come this far on my own and I would like to pay a big tribute to my girlfriend who stuck right behind me and pushed me all the way.
3 months ago I was feeling lowest of the low and now I can see the future is bright. All I have to do is just stick to the plan and no shortcuts. Just one day at a time. Feels amazing to write this. 90 days GF. Hopefully many more to come. I hope everyone is having a great weekend.
