evening diary. Duncs day off! The second in 10 weeks. I had a great suprise last night sarah and joe picked me up from work and we had a few beers a good way to unwind. today i have had a long chat with my mum the hospital have run lots of tests and cant find what the cause is, it is they think muscular, he is home now and has been told to rest. I have shopped which gamble free is oh so pleasant not counting the pennies and treats all round. Had to take the hound to the vet as he ran into another dog whilst out todawill no doubt be a kip shortly lol. Off to work tomorrow for a busy weekend. And monday off too! Pay day and safe in the knowledge that our money is safe in the bank going to enjoy it not waste it.hope you all have a i know refreshed i will! Duncs stepping forward never back.

morning diary. Well back to work to the sanctuary of my kitchen, back to the news that our most junior chef walked out yesterday in a whirlwind of rage directed at my number 2 all because he feels he works in a dictatorship! Well i suppose he did (resigned by text')in a kitchen you have to have discipline or things quickly go wrong. And the fact most young want to be chefs think peeling potatoes is beneath them more so ones whose life outside of work centers around smoking green. So today we are our weakest chef down so today our kitchen will be a better place, ok the work load goes up but the product gets better. Onward and upward! I feel like my task is made easier by the fact i will only have to deal with kitchen issues a point that brings a massive smile to my face. The hound seems fine his normal self lept upon the bed to greet me, so hopefully a weekend of r&r will see him fully fit. So on to the weekend, weather here not great! Maybe that fairy will appear, no thoughts of gambling no time for that, just for today NO BET. Duncs stepping forward never back. (oh and if anyone votes the kit kat you are off my christmas list oh the tin foil! Teeth! Lol.)

Yo,

Waved the wand, so by all accounts the sun is winging its ways by express delivery . You need to be patient as you know the royal mail ..........

Sometimes loosing the weekest link can be a blessing in disguise , although a bit tougher, pick a nice new addiction to your team and the energy and enthusiasm can be so beneficial.

As for choc, what do you think the fairy would pick ......

A Wispa ..........Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.............

No surprise there then.

Take care, my mouth is watering thinking of the culinary delights you are preparing as I post. Best go down and get a bit a cheese on toast , hardly a worthy substitute me thinks .......

evening diary. Well my mum to top off her week yesterday shut her thumb in the back door and in doing so left below the nail in the door when she opened it, today she had more bone amputated to enable the surgeon to create enough skin to fold it in. So now her husband is on bed rest and she has a massive bandage and between them a load more 30 mile trips to the hospital. I have arranged some time this coming week to visit them to ensure they follow orders! To add number 2 has her prom for leaving school and our hound has found a new way to entertain himself by digging up my carrots a bunch at a time and presenting to sarah! So tonight he has been warned dogs home! Is an option lol! Gambling with this lot to keep me busy ontop of work not a chance! Duncs stepping forward never back. No bet today

hey Dunc....

Sounds like your home life is as busy and colourful as ever....good vibes going out to your mum there too...ouch!

Lots of driving too and fro too which is time consuming...and hard to slot into a busy schedule...

Have a confectionary confession!!..........in choccy line up I wondered where the kitkat was???

My petrol station favourite!

Its the cats pyjamas !! ticks all boxes for us women....low fat...clean eat....light .(no eating half and then melting in the side pocket)...and satisfying ...plus on those bad hair fat days we have the dark choc option...

I have a phallic theory on chocolate bars that is not for forum discussion, but may definately have a place in your kitchen and end up being resolved in the tap room ...lol

Keep on keeping on Duncs xxx

Aww Poor Hovis, Woody loves the gravy bones I got a big bag for him yesterday mind you hes a greedy Lab and loves anything food related.

Absent friends it most definatly is, for the time i have been on this site i have seen so many people come with such determination and then woosh they are gone again, I cant help but wonder how they are and also remind myself "there by the grace of the right choice go i".

Today gambling is not a choice on my menu . !!!

Blondie. (sending some sneaky gravy bones to hovis lol )

afternoon diary. 23 weeks today no bet. Yesterday a day for me to take stock of myself did an early at work got stuck into the diary for the next few months to ensure we are prepared and had a meeting with the owner to tie up the xmas menus! Lol mince pies and pud already being talked about! Then home to make sure hovis ok. Yes! Glad to report. Then supper and a catch up with sleep. Today i have a day off to take stock at home, doing jam with a glut of strawberries, roast lamb for supper and giving the debt list a re shuffle now looking to be debt free by 31st dec 2012. To do this i will need to maintain my current work ethic and continue to be prudent on spending of which both are my plan. Then 2013 my 21st year with sarah i plan to make a very special one. I would like to continue with the overwhelming feeling of achievement being gamble free gives me. I accept there will be many hurdles along the way but know i do have the courage and tools to meet my targets. Today we also bought our youngest a season ticket for pompey, something 23 weeks ago that was not an option. So i once again thank all of you for you constant support in my recovery which i embrace with all my heart. I enjoy each day of my gamble free life my glass half full and know that just for today i can make a choice to make tomorrow better than today. No bet. Off to pot my jam, prep our home grown veg and knock a pud together. Gamble free life has meaning and worth. Duncs stepping forward never back. (update on my mum she is doing ok will see doc tomorrow and will know more then.)

morning diary. Rach mr oliver i am not lol he is far to clean cut! Well today i woke up wishing that the rain just for today abstained! No! Today is our daughters prom all american limo, prom dress, hair nails so on. The only thing it seems we cant import is the sun! Still from my half full glass sarah is armed with camera and enough batteries to power the south and a massive brolly lol. Me i am off to work and with a bit of forward planning will catch her looking beautiful which i may add is made all the more easy by the fact she is the image of her mum. I wanted to mention that in the shop yesterday i noticed my smokes since i quit have gone up 80pence! And there was an add for the new scratch card a £10 a card! I used to by them alot i think the most expensive one has now doubled in price! Well not for me, the money in my pocket can stay there. Gamble free i most of all regarding money have learnt the true value of it. In that i am gratefull. On route to work and all please do a sun dance circa 5.30 tonight! Duncs stepping forward never back. (lamb was fantastic and the chocolate fondant that followed even better thankyou william, my number 2 your recipe, i doff that cap to you.)

Morning Duncs,

How proud will you be later seeing your princess all grown up and looking beautiful. Another priceless memory to add to the memory bank, all free of charge (well apart from the dress, hair, nails limo) But all free of charge in terms of appreciating such a special moment. I will be wishing for some sunshine for you, Ive given up hope here (Up north) we are slowly growing gills and webbed feet.. lol.

Enjoy your day. Another gamble free one.

Blondie 🙂

Yo Duncs.

It takes time to grow a straight carrot so I have been told.

Thank you for you post today. You positivity through your journey has more than once made me turn my oh woe is me mentality 360 degrees . For that I can not thank you enough.

Today I did not have to get out my crystal ball, or chuck my fairy dust around like a women possessed .

Cause mate you really do not need it, Sarah and yourself have worked hard to be good parents, I have no doubt at all that memories that are made today will be some that you both treasure for the rest of your lives. Just remember my friend that you , yes you turned your life around to make this happen

Hugs to you all

Dusty xxxxxxxxxx
