Well aside from the rain our daughter went of to her prom looking a million bucks, had a great time and to end what a great way to sign off from school,onto college in the autumn for her a levels ahoy. For me a great way to celabrate recovery actually seeing the results of what a gamble free live will bring. I say bring ot on !!!! On way to work just taking a pitstop in the library Back on the pushbike!!! Happy days hope the rain stays away foe a while so I can make room for the jam!!!!

Morning diary.

Today I am wondering how I must have looked to the outside world all the time I was at it, in short ridiculous would sum it up. I think today without gambling the lying and now lack of it together with the fact I care about how I look means I can today really see what gambling gave to me!!! do I today blame gambling NO, I think that it would be foolish for me to blame gambling as today I have a choice just like whilst at it but today my choice is measured. When I woke up this morning 20 weeks today smoke free could I have had a smoke, for sure I thinkabout it alot, did I act upon the urge no, why because I dont need to smoke to forefill my life, instead I took my dog over the fields and played ball, was it forefilling oh yes!! To anybody reading this post I will tell you I dont know the secret to abstainin/arresting this addiction but I do know this we have a choice,the longer those "gambling goggles" are removed the clearer the picture,no longer is it filled with pipe dreams it is today full of living.

I wish I could pick up that dear fairies wand and arrest every compulsive gamblers addiction, I know i cant but I do know I can belong to this forum and enjoy living because each and every day I make my choice just for today NO BET.

But have you ever stopped to wonder the unseen impact that has been made through you making that choice. These happen every day but we may not have thought about them

Last week you had bent carrots for dinner, a dinner that you were happy to make , from a veg patch you were happy to and have the time to make and tend. This home made produce you were proud of was the result of that one choice you made so many days ago.

So the knock on effect of our choice in at times unseen ..

Just my thoughts, hope it makes some sense of it.

Like the new drink in the bar , maybe this one could be carrot juice lol,

morning diary. If you are listening up there turn off the tap! Enough rain now! Well shiny gave me food for thought! My gambling footprint is fading and my new footprint leaves gamble free much better imprints all round. Today i have a wedding to cater for so i hope at least for them the rain relents enough for pictures at worst. I started recovery as i mean to go on stepping forward never back, today shows me again through reading others diaries that we can gamble free enjoy life, whether it is simple things or things that will forever change us. morning diary. This forum will never cease to amaze me. We are by and large an extremly diverse group of people who share just one common objective to arrest, abstain from having a punt. In our gambling lives we i know more than likely would not have given each other the time of day, all of us wrapped up in our own destructive world, here today ok we have fall outs, even those through a great deal of humility are resolved in a good way, at it well you would just be another person to blame! For todays misfortune. So today i will grind out another days work, tonight i will be raising a glass to each and every one of you "gamcarers" whether today is day one or day 100 is does not matter. Just for today be kind to yourself, it will reflect on others and just for today NO BET. tomorrow will be better for it. Thankyou gamcare. I once again doff my cap and look forward never back. I spoken to Rach , and think the calm bar needs relocating to boat , preferably a cruiser, cause we have enough to worry about with out the thought of the bar flooding and our recoveries sinking like them titanic.

morning diary. Well i now know why mr f boyle is not on tv much these days lol. I managed to get tickets for me and my eldest last night to which i am still laughing now, the cringing stopped late last night! You know when your in for some close to the bone jokes when the comedian states he wants to make a joke that ends his career! Then we had a curry and a pint great night and made possible by the simple fact that duncs dont punt anymore! Off to work now early today then tonight and tomorrow is sarah time.
